==> You collapse onto your bed with a soft thud. You’re exhausted, but you still have much to do here at home. Your children are expecting you, and you can’t skip your usual routine of checking up on them after your recreational activities.
You roll over and heave a sigh, and that’s when you hear something soft and low pitched ring out from the room across the hall. Panic settles in your heart.
You get up immediately and head to Karkat’s room, knocking softly before entering. No one’s here. Or so you thought. That’s a strange way to place clothes, all sprawled out like that.
