Oh, my research group was independent, nothing to do with the Hunters.
But some time before the Fourth, one of us, Gate, built reploids with encrypted code, trying to emulate X and Zero's unanalyzable DNA. He succeeded, but this caused tension in the group. So, I was influenced — de facto coerced, since I was one of the youngest by my superiors — to sabotage his creations, which I did against my will and regretted it later. Little did I know that it would influence another Uprising in the future — the Sixth.
To atone, I joined the Hunters. I chose to be a Navigator because I wasn't ready to pick a R&D job in that time.
