The loop is Chicago's center for creation, innovation and finance. Keeping this part of the city alive has been a constant struggle for city politicians. Working on a new plan called "Activate" a group of loop leaders is working to create a more beautiful and place-making environment for tourist, workers and those whom call the loop home. Tasks such as Alleyway art exhibitions and pop-up parks are just the beginning of what could turn the cold concrete and steel into a setting for families and professionals alike.
