[#projectgratitudeday6] . "The lows" . That's right. Today we're talking 'bout the lows. The garbage. The shit times. When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month, or even your year (😏). And we're going to be thankful for them. . You might be thinking: Hannah, you've gone too far. We're not all living in the land of sweets and joy and joyness 🌈🦄. I'm dealing with some SHIT, life kinda sucks, and you don't understand what I'm going through. Why would I be grateful for the garbage? . And to that I would tell you that this isn't easy. And it takes a shift of perception to make this work. But if we can look at these garbage times as a lesson life is throwing at us, a challenge, something we can learn from...then it's really not garbage at all, is it? . If every day were easy, it all worked out every time, you always got what you wanted...how would we get better? How would we grow? Where would we find the joy of accomplishment? Of beating a personal record? Of reaching a goal? To me...the growth, the grind, the improvement...this is the good stuff. . To quote one of my all one favorite songs by Young Rising Sons, ✨"without a low there ain't a high"✨ . And that line goes through my head every time I'm dealing with a struggle. These are bumps in the road, not road blocks. Challenges, not cancellations. Opportunities to grow, learn, and come out with another tool for our 'how-to-handle-life's-shit' toolbox. Let's embrace the lows. Take them head on and *make it our job* to come out stronger than we were before. --- #projectgratitude #activeappreciation #embracethesuck #lifelessons #mindsetshift #betterthanbefore #happyhabits #happyheart #gratitude #gratitudepractice #gratitudejournal #habitualhappiness #pistolsquat #strongfirst #boston (at Mike's Fitness JP)
