Shadow girls: "The shadow girls are a literal embodiment of a Greek chorus within the stage-inspired world of Utena, complete with moving sets, prop-like stabbings, and actual spotlights all magically appearing in universe. They are a theater story telling device living on a metaphorical and literal stage. Their awareness of the show, its themes, characters, ect has been enough for a person who worked on Utena to call them the real main characters of the show. They serve as narrators, story telling devices, and important characters that appear in every episode."

Tomblain Belaroth: "He’s a prince who became an actor bc he ran away from responsibility. He’s a member of an acting troupe called the cock-ticklers (enough said). His starring role in ‘Danlet’ generated great acclaim, but he also used his incredible acting skills to sink deeply into characters to go undercover for the forces of good, most notably as A Series of Bats, a role he played full time for many years. Also, he’s just a silly little guy, and his acting skills actually just entail him saying ‘Hello, I’m (name of character)’ in his own voice, to which everyone else responds with applause."

Now let me tell you that this guy has covered several vocaloid songs in the series, and has a scenario drama cd of his "acting". This guy has too much voice rizz, I haven't even known the lore to the franchise other than they're you know… actors and they do song covers, but listening to that Koshitantan cover rearranged my brain chemistry."
