I've realized that my pseudonym is not to cower behind another name out of shame... but to make sure those looking for horror do not instead get horror erotica.
Because these are two separate things.
Similar, yes! In that there is fear and dread and discomfort in both.
But one of them has a comedic tone and slutty characters seducing and/or being seduced (or coerced) by monsters. Or at least mine do.
And maybe you don't want that when you came for spooky times.
So I will keep them separate but also let you know they both exist. In case you want the other thing, as I am clearly going to keep writing those. They're fun and a lovely cleanser after writing something horrifyingly traumatic or depressing.
Am I also worried family members will find the smut? Yes and no.
The only ones who would actually make a fuss are ones I don't speak to anymore. My mom would give me a face and maybe make fun of me for wanting to fuck monsters (you know, like my godsdamn son does, the humor in this family), but she's not going to read it.
Not even because of the sex, mind you. It has gay people in it. She doesn't read things with gay people in it. Hasn't read any of my horror for the same reason (though she reviewed like two of them so I'm confused).
Anyway. My point was the extra name is sticking around, Lottie Flocks will continue to write monster porn and I will probably share it here with appropriate tags so you can avoid it. Might tag all the other shared bits with the name even, to make it easier.
