⌿i 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 need 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 help⍀

Heon leans back in his chair, swings his head back and makes a sound that sounds kind of like an annoyed groan. Surprisingly, Heon does visit the library sometimes. Mostly to sleep, because the library is so quiet and Heon needs his sleep, but sometimes also just to read about magical creatures because he finds them interesting, charms? He doesn’t find those interesting at all. And Heon is well aware of the fact that he isn’t doing so well in charms, mostly because he sleeps in the class, or manages to skip it or sneak out unnoticed, but does he need to be here?

Firstly. What can you possibly learn about charms by being at a library? In what way does that make sense? Secondly, why is he here with a student that is literally three years younger than him, is this some amazing student who knows everything, or is this their indirect way of calling Heon dumb?

He swings his head forward again, look lands at the young boy, does he want to be here? He doesn’t, does he? Why would he? There’s no way this dude would want to be tutoring a guy three years older than himself, especially a guy like Heon who doesn’t even want this help so—

“I got an offer. I leave, and neither of us say anything about it to anyone?”

Heon isn’t completely sure, if joining Hogwarts was one of the best or worst decisions of his life. He always sleeps in classes, it’s only a few classes he doesn’t find entirely boring and that he can manage to stay awake in, so he should hate Hogwarts, right? Well… The people at Hogwarts are so rather fascinating, Heon loves Dumbledore, he loves pranking his fellow students, and he loves exploring the halls with his cat. But what he so more loves are the nights at Hogwarts, the time where he usually sneaks out, and his usual place is the dark forest, a place he has rather mastered sneaking in to.

It’s another night, another night of him leaving Hogwarts in a swift motion, his cat following him and him casually entering the dark forest, while he knows he’s not the best at neither charms, potions, most things really, he’s never actually scared. He wants to explore ever bit of this forest, even if he’s fully aware of the creatures in here, the chances of death, he does not care.

He’s on his way to see the Thestral again, a creature he met almost right when he joined Hogwarts, he sees it as often as possible, he sees it as his friend he—

Wait…

Is that… another student? Heon stops walking, and his cat stops up too, he furrows his brows when he hears the student talking, or more so, making snake sounds or whatever they’re doing… He continues his walking towards the student, he has seen their face before, and if he remembers right then they are the little brother of a fellow troublemaker. “Dude what are you doing? Roleplaying Voldemort or what the fuck?”

“ please teach me how to do that “

“I am sorry kid, you are not ready for this level of potion-making-” she stated clearly before smirking as she thought of something to help the student approve his potion-making skills. “How about this? Come back to me with a vial containing a cure for boils which is always the first potion I teach to the first years then we can discuss teaching you how to brew Wit-Sharpening Potion. Does that sound fair mhm?” she questioned curiously since she rather sees the level of the student before throwing into the deep end.

kindness

Heon isn’t mean. Well if you ask him then he’d say he isn’t mean, he just… likes doing things that makes him laugh, and it’s as simple as that. For example pulling pranks on whoever seems most unlikely to kill Heon is a hobby of his, sometimes he chooses a target and then figures out how to prank them, other times, like today, he gets an idea and then he finds someone to suffer from his idea. This isn’t called being mean, this is called having fun, and you can’t tell Heon anything else, as long as whoever suffers from the prank doesn’t suffer too much or feels like they’re getting bullied, then it’s okay.

And he felt like he had been walking forever with that babbling beverage, but nobody seemed interesting enough to use it on, they looked too scary or too boring. Heon didn’t want a too big reaction, he didn’t need any marks on his beautiful face, so he couldn’t use the potion on anybody who seemed likely to hit him, and giving it to someone who would just start talking about something boring wasn’t an option either, and that’s when it happened, he spotted a target. He had seen the face before, never actually gotten their name, but he knew of them, and they seemed perfect for this prank.

Immediately upon spotting the perfect target he walked in their direction, laying a hand on their shoulder to get their attention and then showing a kind smile “hey! I made home-made lemonade, would you be kind enough to taste test it for me?”

small kitty bites

Understand this, Heon is incredibly, unexplainable happy about his cat, Blood is literally his best friend, Heon and Blood have been through everything. But that cat? That cat may always listen to Heon, but it’s just as much a rebel as Heon himself. He remembers the day he got it, and the first thing it did was bite his father, Heon still laughs at the thought, that was the moment he decided on the name Blood, one Heon’s father wasn’t very fond of, so in front of his dad he pretended his cat’s name was Cookie. But now that he lives with his uncle and spends most of his time at Hogwarts there isn’t really any good reason to give it stupid nicknames.

Now back to the rebel thing… Blood does kind of just do whatever it wants to do, usually Blood wanders off on its own, it explores the school just as much as Heon, and often Blood even explores the school together with Heon. But when Heon’s cat does wander off, Heon doesn’t really have any specific idea of where it goes. Right now Heon is actually looking for Blood, he found a weird plant and he wants Blood to see it, however it takes him some time to find Blood, and when he does find Blood, Blood seems to be annoying another student.

Heon stands stiff for a second, not really thinking about it too much, but then he remembers… Blood is one of a biter “dude! That cat tends to bite peo—”

He walks in the direction of the other, and clearly sees Blood biting the leg of the other “Blood!”, the harsh tone is one Blood mayhaps knows a little too well, and the moment it hears it, it leaves the student and runs over to the side of Heon. “Did he really bite you? Are you okay?”
