Samus had fucked up. There was no way to put it other than that. Samus had let her emotions get to her and honestly she felt bad for that. Sure he had said some things, but how could he know? She left all about her actual past locked up like it was some huge secret. She didn’t know why she did that anymore but it honestly made her feel safer, like less were pitying her.
Seeing Adachi in the street was just the perfect opportunity to literally randomly come up right in front of him and stop him, silently staring down at him. Sure she could try and look less like she was going to murder him, and probably not jumps on front of him but that just wouldn’t be her.
“I...want to apologize for my behavior the other day.” She simply said, still looking down at him. She felt guilty for just kicking him out like that, and you could bet she spent the rest of the night drinking until she couldn’t think anymore. But what good did that do? Not much, but it was a distraction that night and honestly got her thinking more about it with a clear mind how terribly she had overreacted.
“I shouldn’t have acted like that.” It felt more like she was forcing it out, which kind of what because he somehow managed to open another scar she thought was closed long ago. The memory of Gandrayda... her friend who honestly acted more like a child wanting to be like her mother... It was hard to forget it again.
It was a little obvious she had also managed to somehow lose more sleep over it as she seemed a bit unhealthier than before, eyes a bit duller and bags more prominent as she looked around the town. No one was around... she was thankful for that. It was just them, she could apologize and then quickly leave. It was done and over and hopefully some rest would come from some trying of the loose ends.
