Malinda - Ade’s best friend. She cares for her more than anyone else, and is currently looking for her. However, she realizes her friend is reckless, even if it doesn’t stop her from getting dragged into a lot of things Mal does.

Erik - Curiosity is what draws her back to this man each time she is nearby. He’s one of her kind- but he’s a physician, in the Palace no less. It’s an odd situation and she keeps coming back to it each time.

Three sentences (min.) on their personality: She’s a little disinterested in the whole antagonizing the mer thing and would really rather not deal with it if she didn’t have to. She won’t start a fight, but she sure as hell will finish one when the need arises. She’s more concerned about her friend’s well being than she is with relations with other races. If only because Malinda doesn’t really seem to know when to stop. She’s cautious when approaching new people, and lately has been a little lonely. She’s a bit disconnected from her own kind and lost without her friend… She’s not sure what to do exactly but she knows in time she’ll figure it out.
