BIOGRAPHY
Adam was born with a terrible temper. His parents often worried about him and the terrible temper tantrums he would throw as a child. They hoped that he would grow out of it as he got older, but his fits of temper only grew worse. He would explode into rage at even the smallest things, until he became unbearable to live with. Then they just sent him away one day. The summer castle hadn’t been used in years, so they sent him to stay with only a select number of staff to maintain the castle and promptly forgot about their problem child.
The first time someone requested shelter in his castle, he exploded into a fit of rage and ordered them out. The woman then revealed herself as what she was; a witch. A really pissed off witch. And just like that he was cursed. Anytime he had one of his fits of anger he found himself shifting into a horrible beast. Taller, bigger, shaped like some sort of freak mix between a lion and a bear. He found only another reason to hate himself and wallow in pity.
When Belle came to the castle, he didn’t make the same mistake. Something about her got to him, though. She stood and faced him even when he was in one of his worst rages. Nothing really made her back down. He was finally starting to settle for once when everything started to tumble around them. Forced into a new place, Adam felt at odds with the world. He’s more of a shut-in than anything, rarely leaving his house other than to occasionally visit Belle at the library.
CONNECTIONS
Belle Bernette: The only woman who he truly believes he loves, or ever could. In fact, one of the few people he cares for, if only because she stands up to him, something he’s never had before.
Gaston Roche: The man honestly disgusts Adam. The idea that he could just buy a woman with no problem is infuriating, to say the least, especially when he thinks of it being Belle.
