conversely to my ronanhenry post (where they only need a specific amount of non-aggressive time together to break the ice) ADAM and henry can only ever actually begin to like each other when they're smashed together by Plot and Narrative

for example like in stroinger tingz 4 where the California crew is separated from the rest and they need to suffer through hijinks together. like adam and henry would go through the "Oh shit we're the smartest people in this group" > "maybe you have like One or Two good ideas" > "you know WHAT asshole you're not special for getting mike tysoned that happens to EVERYONE" "NO THE FUCK IT DOES NOT CHENG" > "OK maybe we both ARE the smartest people in this group and have the same ideas and I thought you were a gansey but you're just an asshole which makes you so much more likeable" > "we are friends now but with pynch flavored antagonism and blueadam flavored interaction"

their secondary fundamental conflict is that they both think they're protecting gansey from the New Separate Threat That Is This New Dog . therefore they remain inherently distrustful forever until they get to like. sniff each other through the door . and then they're cats who lick each other but the second you step into the room they hiss and run in separate directions
