My mom told me that she saw a man with a motorized chair that can be broken down and fit into a sedan. She didn't approach him to ask, so I did some research. Found a motorized wheelchair that actually folds and is only 50 pounds. I need to research if my insurance covers it because it isn't a standard chair. Even so it's a bit over $2k which is much better than the standard $20k+. Regardless, I'm getting it because it will allow me to travel in anyone's car with ease and keep the convenience of a motor. This also makes learning to drive a far more immediate possibility. It can fit in a regular sedan, so no need for $50k+ minivans. Getting some portable hand controls as soon as I can afford them and getting a new permit. I hope to practice for 1 year with family before taking a road test and hopefully getting my license.
After I am a licensed driver I will purchase my own vehicle and invest in permanent floor-mounted hand controls.
My plan looks like it will be completed much sooner than anticipated. Funny what a little channeled rage can get you.

Still considering others though
