Two Tournaments, Multiple Winners
Great to see golf back in full effect even when they are competing with the NFL playoffs. Both events had very different, but very exciting stories. It was tough to see Martin Kaymer play like someone who was closing in on a club championship, but had just could not close it out. Where did that mental toughness from the Players and going wire to wire in the US open go? Rory looked good in his return, not that it needs to be said but I think we can all expect a big year out of him.
Jimmy Walker proved that you don't need to be a flashy 20 something to collect W's. I see another big year for him on the PGA tour and we saw the start of it this weekend when he defended his title.
It doesn't get much better for a golf fan when there are two tournaments with great golf, great stories, and a great field. Let's hope next weekend can keep us glued to the game.
