Creation, or the creative process, to me, is sacred because it is my chance to play. Whereas kids play with toys, I play with words. Creation is art to me, and I use different mediums.

I love immersing myself in the world of my unfinished story ideas. I love flowing along with the vibes that a song or a picture gives. I love when a song or a picture fits my WIP just right. I love acting out my characters mannerisms and dressing like them. I love surrounding myself with things that remind me of my characters and my story idea.

Me: I have over an hour until I need to be anywhere, this will be a great chance to get some writing done!

Me, two minutes later: Hmmm, I wonder if I can find that top I've been wanting on eBay...
