Adderface, Shinguuji Korekiyo, the current medicine cat of CoastClan, alongside his old apprentice, Rabbitbloom (Fujisaki Chihiro). He’s an ex-warrior and his sister is Blackhaze, who he is not in an incestuous relationship with because ndrv3 canon sucks ass.

As a kit, Adderkit and his sister, Blackkit, were very close. His sister had always been sickly, so she ended up in the medicine cat den a lot. His parents doted over her a lot, and so did Adderkit, not wanting to leave his sister’s side. He learned a lot about herbs, and would have been a medicine cat apprentice had there been an opening. So he was reluctantly apprenticed as a warrior while his sister stayed in the medicine cat den. He was a regular apprentice while training. Didn’t stand out too much to others. Stoic and having a creepy aura, staying on the sidelines as he did his duties. Honestly, he was more interested in the Warrior code and how it came about. Though he was disappointed that his sister couldn’t train with him, he still did everything required of him, and was named Adderface. When the Medicine Cat apprentice passed away, Pearlstar (CoastClan’s leader before Whitestar) came to him and asked him to take up the apprentice spot. Adderface agreed without a second thought to it. However, Blackkit’s health had gotten better, and was made a Warrior apprentice, Blackpaw. Though Blackpaw still ended up in the medicine cat den a lot for check ups. Though her health was better, her immune system is still really bad and she gets sick a lot. So Adderface trained to be a medicine cat. He’s not the most spiritually connected to StarClan himself, which is usually left to Rabbitbloom and his apprentice, Dreampaw (Yumeno Himiko). Adderface would rather try to spend his time seeing ghosts walking among the living cats. He instead focuses on healing and studying of clan and foreign traditions and lore. However, he does tendency to explore and talk to outsiders, finding out about their traditions. That is if they don’t run away from him.

Adderface (Shinguuji Korekiyo) is well known for being good at his job, but like, he isn’t devoted much to StarClan. It’s not that he doesn’t not believe in them, he just believes in many afterlife variants and options. Even prophecies or visions he gets, he looks at them with a critical educated eye. Who is to say their’s is the only one or correct? Who’s to say that their traditions are right? Due to this he goes and questions outsiders a lot. Especially outsiders and those traveling through.To be honest, he’d probably make a really good elder. Filled with stories. Thankfully, Earthtrail (Amami Rantarou), travels a lot and comes back with many stories for Adderface too.

Of the name I picked- the first four cats I’ve drawn most have very straight forward names. Whiteshell/Whitestar? Angie has white hair and wears a shell necklace. Originally her name was Pearlfeather/Pearlstar, but it didn’t exactly fit. Water based names didn’t really seem to suit her either. Sunsong is a name I’ve had for Akamatsu for months now that I love. Akamatsu is very bright of a character, and she has blonde hair. I made her Momota (Moonflight) Kaito’s sister as a play of each other on one’s the Sun and the other is the Moon. Song is because Akamatsu is a pianist of course. I had a bit of trouble wanting to use song in all the artistic danganronpa characters. Adderface is for one- I guess you could call any two-faced character with bad intentions a snake. I feel the coloring of an Adder also matches Shinguuji’s dusky dull colors and the feeling his appearance gives people. The translation of his name and kanji didn’t have any strong meanings that stood out to me either. He got the suffix -face as for the face mask he had. I wanted to avoid mask as I have a few others with the suffix -mask, and I like to mix it up. Rabbitbloom is one that had a lot more thought put into it for Fujisaki. For one, his favorite animal is a rabbit. He’s also very timid, and a rabbit goes along with his personality very well. As for the suffix, Fukisaki means “Two Unblooming (Flowers)”, so the bloom suffix symbolizes this, along with the fact that when he gets his name, he’s starting to come out of his shell. Or as such, blooming into a more grown cat.
