who we are | addison & aiden
Suburban life was exactly what Aiden expected it to be: boring as shit. Of course he was regretting agreeing to this entire move - well, it wasn't so much of a move as it was a move in. Despite the fact that they settled in a little over a month ago, the eldest Kennedy still wasn't used to his new surroundings; honestly, he wasn't used to having a real place to call home. But Zaire seemed happy, as did Arielle, which was all that mattered. They had friends here and even relationships.
Aside from his screwed up relationship with Joss Bennet and Nikki Monroe, Aiden’s greatest relationship was currently with Randy, the man at the liquor store closest to his apartment. The hunter made his way through the aisles of the store, eyeing the wide variety of chips. It was going to be a slow night...again. As he reached for a bag of doritos, the hunter froze in his spot. That voice. He knew that voice.
He practically ducked as he crept closer to the front of the store, hiding behind a magazine stand. The woman at the counter had her back towards him, so Aiden couldn't see her face. He was silent as he tried to listen to her make small talk with the cashier and - no, it couldn't be. He had lost contact with Addison but he had known her for years, regardless if he had never actually seen her face.
"Crap," he muttered to himself, watching her walk out of the store. He wasn't sure how to go about something like this. So instead of mustering up the courage to introduce himself, Aiden decided to follow her. He tossed three dollars on the counter before making his way out of the store with nothing in his hands.
He kept his distance as he followed her, the entire time wondering why the hell he was doing this. What exactly was he going to do once he caught up to her? What if she was going home? Or maybe with a significant other? What if it wasn't even her? "Shit," the words escaped the hunters lips when he suddenly found himself being pushed up against the side of the building, the woman's elbow at his throat.
Well, that took care of breaking the ice.
"Alright, alright, I know this looks a bit suspicious, but I can explain," he quickly began, his voice surprisingly at ease for such a compromising position. But instead of explaining, Aiden just fell silent - holy shit, she was beautiful. He wondered if she would be able to recognize him by voice alone, just like he had done with her.
