It was a lazy day within the shop doors, the start of spring causing those who would normally litter the inside of establishments to stretch their legs and catch the sun's rays. Daphne had decided to open the windows and doors to the shop just to get a nice breeze, trying to get much of the stuffiness of winter out. She did this yearly, mostly from traditions that came from the Onassis clan, but the smell of the ocean was pleasant and gave her the energy she needed to stay motivated. No bell chimed as Adelaide entered the shop, but the water genasi felt her presence nonetheless and emerged from the back stockroom. “Do you work today?” the question fell from her lips quickly, not knowing if maybe her father had asked for the extra assistance today. Spring usually meant extra eyes checking on the farmland, planting seeds or just cleaning up from winter’s clutches, “Or just here to distract me?”
