It’s an alternate timeline branch of my Signs and Shadows Halo series, splitting during the Halo 5 era with one tiny change that rewrites everything:
Lauren-116 is pregnant.
Now John and Lauren are being hunted, ONI is closing in, and the Traveler has somehow become involved because apparently this poor family needed cosmic nonsense on top of everything else.
But underneath the Halo/Destiny chaos, this story is really about John-117 learning he’s going to be a father.
