This Riverfront tote is one of my first designs that marries yummy felt with buttery oil tanned leather. It is practical, natural and striking. It is also part of the Un-Sewn collection. This bag is origami like in it's patterning and construction and comes together without the use of a sewing machine or traditional stitching. When I was a young girl I fell in love with felt. At that time I had no idea how amazing this ancient textile actually is. I loved the integral edge, the incredible color saturation and the feel of it. When I discovered German wool felt in all of its thicknesses, colors, and heathered textures I became obsessed with the design possibilities. Many color options are available but this mustard color makes me swoon.
