The hilarious thing about revenge bedtime procrastination is being 100% aware of what you’re doing and still refusing to go to bed, anyway, no matter how exhausted you are. lol

A secondary annoyance of being unmedicated all week beyond not being able to get shit done is I've been spending way more money on food bc my impulse control is way down and my hunger levels are way up
Reactions to telling friends at work that I can’t be on meds for my ADHD because I have bipolar~
Me: yeah I can’t be on stimulants because best case scenario I have a minor mania episode worst case scenario I murder someone in a blind rage
Friend 1: well I’ll just hog tie you and you’ll be fine
Friend 2: if I give you stimulants can I video tape you murdering someone?
Your post about responding to neurodivergents discussing they’re sensitivities a was bit harsh!
Im wondering if you’ve heard of rejection sensitive disorder? Some neurodivergent people can’t quite regulate their emotions the way you and I can, so rejection (or anything that can be perceived as such) is difficult for them to process!
It goes beyond the normal “I’m insecure” and can cause a lot of distress.
Hope this helps!

I hear that, but I just don't agree.
I think it's really unhealthy, as in actually dangerous, for people to medicalize experiences that are in the range of normal humanity.
Here are the "symptoms" of the so-called "rejection sensitive disorder", as per web md;
"People with RSD may:
Be easily embarrassed
Get very angry or have an emotional outburst when they feel like someone has hurt or rejected them
Set high standards for themselves they often can't meet
Have low self-esteem
Feel anxious, especially in social settings
Have problems with relationships
Stay away from social situations and withdraw from other people
Feel like a failure because they haven't lived up to other people's expectations
Sometimes think about hurting themselves"
My dude, that is what we call insecurity.
And, by the way, you don't fucking treat insecurity by drugging people. You treat insecurity by tangling out the root cause through therapy and setting people up with healthy coping mechanisms, while teaching them to fight for a society that does not threaten homelessness, starvation, and death as a punishment for not performing perfection under white supremacy capitalism patriarchy.
People are collectively traumatized by the current times; moreso than usual, due to global warming. Of course the medical industry's solution is to sell people whatever drug will numb them out and shut them up. What's your excuse?
Again, all these bs disorders just group together common human experiences, and then recommend some drug that's most likely essentially an amphetamine, or a glorified tranquilizer.
Does it never occur to you to question why so many people are nervous wrecks? Why so many of us are "failing to thrive" under the powers that be? You think it's a simple matter of brain chemistry that people, globally, are experiencing rising rates of attention issues and depression? There's nothing collective going on, nothing in people's personal past and present, nothing that they could individually be facing that might contribute to these natural human emotions???
Honestly, I just wanna say how fucking dare you? How dare you tell people that there's something wrong with them, personally, biologically, because they are having a difficult time while living in a hell world? How dare you tell them that the solution is to further isolate themselves by believing their symptoms are out of the ordinary, and that the cure is to further tune-out and buy-in?
Fuck you.
I've been struggling with keeping my office clean and organized since we moved in and hopefully, after a year and a half, I will actually have it. It's been a long week and I'm honestly not quite there yet, but I have to be somewhere tomorrow at noon and am hosting the husband's family after that so I may just end up with a big doom box shoved in a corner if I can't get it done.
