okay, for all my RamBheem loving desi bitches, PLEASE REMEMBER.
Like, their relationship is adorable af, yes, and the movie was very gay many times, but please don't forget that RRR was not ideal Adivasi rep AT ALL. Like, the whole "I'm gonna show up with a bunch of fucking tigers and forest animals bc that's what I do" is just for the sake of movie shit, and it kinda makes a really weird animal-whisperer thing about Bheem, which I think quite a few Adivasi people have said is uncomfortable and shitty. It's like the way Americans do the whole "they speak to nature and animals like Disney's Pocahontas" thing to Native Americans.
Also, the whole "Anna, your problem was bigger than mine, please forgive me" is fucking gross. Like, Bheem shouldn't have been made to say that in the movie because it trivializes the problems of indigenous Indians in a way that deifies non-Adivasi Indians. It's super not okay and infantilizes or diminishes their problems in real life.
Yes, I know this is a movie, but based on that stupid moron in Australia who used Indian movies as a justification for harassing and following a woman around, this has to be said so people don't act on what they see in films. Indians really seem to forget that, and especially, Telugu babies, please try and keep these things in mind whenever you talk about the movie and stuff, esp since our movie culture has grown to reach all corners of the country.
