Beanie has always found the sound of a disassembly drone’s core beating soothing, thanks in part to all the times she’s fallen asleep against N’s chest when she was a baby. Of course, it eventually occurs to her that she doesn’t have a word/name for that sound.
She’s scared to discover that her dad’s core was making that sound this whole time (and is worried about him, seeing as her core doesn’t make that sound). But once she finds out it just means his core is working, she decides she likes it a lot more.
While I continue to post elven words of the day, I thought I’d try to go back to earlier words for world building inspiration! This is just a fun activity for me so I don’t know how many I’ll do but if there are any words you’d like to see let me know!
Second word! Rānta from primitive elvish meaning: “tracks or trails created by explorers that can eventually become habitual and could be followed by others”
This is such a cool word to me!
World building thoughts:
-Although there are no canonical Quenya or Sindarin words derived from this one that retain its specific meaning (the Sindarin word rant meaning course or water channel derives from it) I headcanon there does remain variations on the word itself in both Quenya and Sindarin dialects
-Most elven peoples note species of plants that must never be trampled in all but the direst of circumstances, there are words in various cultures for groves or natural spaces that are expected to be left undisturbed
-Around Cuiviénen there were countless trails and paths, often identified by simple words for the flora that grew around them. The first elven maps, drawn with slate and pigments from birch bark* and other organic materials represented this
*as I’ve talked about on my Doriath butterflies post, birch bark can be used to make quite a vivid orange dye!

This is my first time being a part of something like this, zine or digital art gallery or otherwise!!!! ESPECIALLY BEING AMIDST SO MANY OF US YIPPEE WOW!!!! It seemed SO SO EXCITING AND FUN, so I landed up with this piece!!!
I chose to draw some of my favourite Great God Grove characters: being Inspekta, Capochin, Godpoke, Megapon and Patty. I do like A LOT OF CHARACTERS IN GGG, and as much as I would've LOVED to draw them all, I know my limits and I know I would've stopped working on it very soon if I had. Ergo, only a small handful of them could suffice.

I call this the "Censored Pink Burgie" version. I offered it in case the first version's background was a bit much, on account of the burgies (I'm not the best at gauging stuff due to being desensitized to a lot), but if I'm to be honest with you, while the first version IS the one I preferred to be used, I wasn't too broken up over the idea of it NOT being used.
I knew it'd be fun to show off the version of the piece that didn't make it on here, too! So. Pink Burgies. You're welcome, citizens (JOKE).

did i ever mention i love horror? so i cracked and made this! wip name is "in rot and infection," but looking to change that last word... unless nothing else works, of course.
do keep in mind i like doing things differently, meaning you're not gonna see certain elements on purpose. so no character sheets, with the stats and the inventory. i will lose steam instantly if i make them. and besides, it's more inspired than anything else.
the focus is more on how messed up it'd be if something like this happened during a time loop. imagine looping back from this, knowing it could happen again and again and again if you're not careful enough. good luck with that, stardust~!
