Fic/concept I’m currently working on:

— bell!reader during the events of Cold War, treating Adler like a close friend whom she secretly loves (as the CIA implanted memories deem. You can’t convince me otherwise).

— Adler, treating you like a stranger who he has to work with, with zero interest in being any closer with you.

— Park essentially orders him otherwise, explaining that he has to “play his part” or you will start questioning your memories.

— reluctantly, Adler plays the part and after a bit, slowly begins kind of getting off on readers blind loyalty towards him.

— he and reader get closer, he starts messing with your head more, starts touching you more, really leaning into the idea that he returns your feelings. (Does he?)

— one thing leads to another, during the desperate measures mission, when you and Adler are undercover at the Lubyanka building, Adler figures this is his only chance to put that blind faith to the test without watching eyes.

What I’m trying to say is, bell!reader and Adler do the nasty in some random ass closet in enemy territory. Adler 1000% gets off on the whole brainwashing you.

Is this dark!adler? I don’t know. Maybe.

Lots and lots of gaslighting and manipulation, lots of sexual tension, lots of dark content cause I am mentally unstable and can’t write anything without it.

For my own sanity I like to think that adler’s decision to kill bell in the “good ending” was made by someone higher up. And his whole “oh you think I’d let a former Perseus soldier live” was because he has an ego problem. Or at LEAST is Adler’s biggest regret. You know? Let me have this I want my doomed middle aged military yaoi

Okay here’s the ‘other thing’ in question

I made a CODBOCW AU (that’s a lot of letters lmao) that like… somewhere along the lines of breaking down bell’s psyche (with what I can only assume was severe torture) bell became like. Super fucking obsessive and clingy to Adler?? Like WAYYY to obsessed. “I would do ANYTHING for you, sir!” Type shit. You know?

"How do I look, Mr. Adler?"

Could be in a date or in a preparation for mission; going undercover as a couple. You've been an agent for some time, and working with Adler wasn't the easiest but it yielded results. Throughout the times you've worked together, other than the stench of cigarettes lingering between the two of you; there was an unresolved tension that reeked the longer you worked together despite the amount of professionalism you both masked. You find yourself in the mirror picking the most suitable pieces to fit in whatever the fuck was assigned to you. You've taken the time to get ready, you wanted to fit the part, and you did but as you take your time your 'partner' yells what was taking you so God damn long to get ready. So, you do—you rush putting on the diamond earrings, grabbed the purse that can fit a sidearm (just in case things went south), and of course a lady's number one weapon; a red lipstick. Russell got impatient and called for you again. "It's been two hours—" His voice came from the other side of the door as you were dollying up. And out of annoyance? You rushed out of the room, stilettos clicked as you strut to where he sat waiting for your ass. You hated being rushed, especially when it comes to make up. So out of frustration your arm reached out towards him. He was taken back when your hand reached for the back of his head, fingers tangled through his locks as you yanked his face towards yours; not painful but hard enough to catch him off guard. You leaned down, his usually perfect hair disheveled. He looked like he wanted to say something but couldn't as you started using his aviators as a mirror. The tinted lenses reflected your plumped lips as you swipe the rouge on it, painting it red. 'There—' you said with a cheeky tone. His blue eyes flickered from yours then down to the lips (and you were pretty sure it briefly wandered *elsewhere*) as you smacked your lips— smoothening the pigments as you closed the component with a soft click. "How do I look, Mr. Adler?"  And that? was one of the few times you saw him frozen in place.

this is just a small scenario i had in mind and drew it.
