Thanks! This was really fun to write, especially because I haven’t written for Tokoyami yet so thanks for the request!! Sorry for not writing for a while, I had summer homework to finish and school has finally started for me so I’ve been a little busy. After my schedule is fixed I’ll try my best to write more!
As much as Tokoyami didn’t want to do it, he softly shook you awake. You had fallen asleep during your favorite movie after a very exhaustive test. Tokoyami thought it’d be a good idea to let you choose whatever you wanted for the day to help you relax. Thankfully, it worked, although a little too well, and now it was time for the both of you to go to bed. After calling your name softly a few times you finally spoke up, “Mmm. . . leave me alone. . .” You tried burying yourself deeper into the blankets the two of you had been using.
“Come on, ____, we have to get ready for bed.”
“I already am,” you mumbled grumpily.
“You’re on the couch and haven’t brushed your teeth, even though we ate plenty of your favorite snacks.”
“. . .Doesn’t matter. . .I’ll deal with that tomorrow.”
Tokoyami could only look at you warmly with love in his eyes, he was use to your silly antics when it came to waking up. Living together had its perks, one of them being able to see you first in the morning, even if you were tired and grumpy. He especially loved seeing you last in your shared bed, something that wouldn’t happen that night if he didn’t do something. So, taking you completely by surprise, he picked you up and hauled you over his shoulder.
“Fumikage!”
“Sorry, were you sleeping?” he asked with a chuckle.
Too tired to struggle, you let him carry you, “How rude, Fumikage.”
Tokoyami finally set you down in the bathroom, allowing you to lean on him for support. You struggled to brush your teeth with the blankets still wrapped around your shoulders but you wouldn’t let them go for anything, nothing would be able to get you out of the comfort of those blankets. So after brushing your teeth when Tokoyami tried to take the blankets, you only held onto them more tightly.
“____, we already have some on our bed, we don’t need these.”
“. .So.”
“So, I’m going to put them away.”
“No,” you said, stomping your foot softly on the ground for an added effect.
“I’ll carry you straight to bed if you let them go.”
Even though your bedroom was right across the bathroom and your comfortable bed was only some yards away, it might as well had been miles away with how tired you were. Deciding it’d be better to be carried by Tokoyami, you dropped the blankets. He made a soft appreciative sound when seeing your disheveled form and quickly picked you up bridal style. He made sure you were comfortable on the bed before picking up the dropped blankets and putting them away. When he returned, he noticed you were comfortably wrapped under the sheets. Not wanting to disturb you, he carefully joined you under the sheets before slowly pulling you into his arms. You mumbled something nonsensical under your breath before snuggling into him, appreciating his warmth.
“Good night, ____.”
