Kiki again! I wanna continue my conversation with Leon about my long distance relationship. Leon! It turns out I'm gonna see my boyfriend this summer!Thank you for your support! It seriously helped me ^_^ Let's celebrate with some good wine!! :D 1/2
2/2 - also, since I’ll be going on a date. What are some cute summer date outfits you recommend? I’m the type of girl that likes to wear snapbacks and adidas sweat pants. I don’t have much fashion sense, please help! Thankies!
Leon enters the foyer with a smirk as he offers you his arm. “Hello again, Kiki. I see you’re in fine spirits today. Come.” Once you’ve taken his arm, he leads you to a table and helps you into your seat before sitting opposite you. He snaps his fingers and a bottle of Chardonnay and two glasses appear. The god fills your glass, listening intently to your words, a smirk forming slowly on his lips.
“Well, I see that there are some goldfish that actually listen to what the gods have to say. I’m pleased with this in knowing you’ll be seeing the one you want finally.” Leon raises his glass in toast to yours before sipping his wine.
“A date, you say?” The Leo rubbed his chin in thought and shook his head. “I don’t know what those things are that you just described to me, but if I told you what I thought you should be wearing on a Summer date, you would be with me and not your boyfriend.” He smirked at his innuendo a moment before sighing. “Unfortunately, I am not the person you need to speak to.” Snapping his fingers, Dori appeared next to your table. “You, tell this girl what to wear for a ‘Summer date’.” Leon smirked as he commanded the new person.
Dori straighten herself out and shook her head at the god. “A message before you Shang Hai me in the middle chores would be nice…” She then turns to you and hears what you have to say, a twinkle in her eye as she goes into stylist mode. “Girl, I feel you. I’m usually a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal, but having a few cute girly things doesn’t hurt at all. Especially if you got a date planned or even a night out with friends.”
“One of the most important things to do is learn about your body type and how to dress it. Most people just grab what’s cute or trendy and it just… No..” Dori shakes her hands in front of her as she shakes her head. “As women, we all have that inner irk that makes us hate ourselves. But once you find your shape, you can begin shopping for flattering looks rather than your norm.”
Leon chuckles hearing this. “Says the goldfish in an oversized shirt and leggings.” He sips his wine in amusement as he watches you confused by all this. “It shouldn’t matter what you wear as long as you get what you want.” He smirks at you and Dori alluringly as he swishes some wine in his glass.
“Leon, please.” Turning back you, Dori goes on. “Even if the guys we love tell us we look fine, we still want to look good for them and for ourselves. Part of dressing up is about feeling good knowing we look good. And if you get the compliments, achievement unlocked! So, let’s begin.” Pulling up a chair, she brings out a tote bag with fashion books and magazines inside. “Magazines like Glamour and Harpers Bazaare are just two of many you can look at for ideas, but the best thing really is to go into your favorite stores and try clothes on, asking your friends for their opinions on how it looks on you. Ask a few to go with you to stores that sell things within your price range and no one will need to know you shopped clearance either.” She winks at you knowingly.
Dori leaves the magazines in front of you and then pulls out what looks like a scrapbook. “Stylists have what we call ‘pull sheets’. Basically, they’re just looks that we find in magazines we want to use as references so we tear them out and keep them on file.” She hands you the tears to look through as she keeps talking. “While staying trendy is for some women, someone like you could care less. Trust me when I say that it doesn’t matter as long as you dress the way you want to, looking and feeling fabulous. I highly recommend looking for something casual that can go from day to night if you plan to spend the whole day together. And just get 2 or 3 outfits together. You don’t need to do or spend a lot to get the job done.”
Once you’re done looking through the tears, Dori takes those and the magazines and puts them in a bag, holding it out to you. “These are for you to keep. I’m loaded at home and was in the middle of organizing when a certain someone decided I needed a break.” She turns to Leon with a serious stare.
The god chuckled and shrugged as he stood and patted Dori on the head. “Well done, goldfish. I’ll see that you’re rewarded later.” Leon snaps his fingers and sends Dori back home before he could hear her complain some more. “Well, Kiki, I certainly felt well informed so I hope that she was able to help you out with this.” He helps you out of your seat and leads you back the way you can, seeing you the door. “I do hope your date goes well. I look forward to hearing all about it.” He kisses the back of your hand before you leave.
