Spiders and Snuggles | Jake
"Come on, let's go!" Jake eagerly prodded, pulling your arm lightly.
"I don't think this is such a good idea," you began, looking cautiously at the haunted house looming in front of you.
"Oh Y/N, are you scared?" Jake teased as he started tapping your cheek. You swatted his hand away.
"It's not me who's going to be scared," you sighed. You knew Jake always tried to put up a strong front, but sometimes, a slight touch on the shoulder was enough to get him to jolt.
“You think I’m scared?” Jake asked incredulously. A single nod was all it took for him to start gasping. “Y/N, haunted houses like this aren’t real. Now, the ones they go on for Buzzfeed Unsolved are another story, but these are fine. Let’s go!” You let him pull you in. “See, this isn’t so bad,” Jake smiled, bumping your shoulder. The two of you walked in deeper, passing torn up walls covered in “blood,” and it got darker and darker. “It’s not so bad,” Jake reiterated, huddling closer to you. “Not bad at—AHHH!” Jake lept to the side as a stuffed tarantula attached to a string dropped between you two. With a smirk, you tapped it lightly towards him. “Not cool YN!”
“Sorry, sorry,” you giggled, but the smile fell from your face when you saw how upset he looked. You looked around, thinking about what to do. An idea came to mind, and you let out a big scream, grabbing onto his arm.
“What?!” Jake shouted, taking a shaky step forward and holding his hands up into fists. You couldn't help but smile at his little attempt to protect you.
“I thought I saw something move,” you explained. His eyes widened into saucers, and you quickly grabbed his hand and started pulling him out. "Let's get out of here. I'm getting weird vibes."
When the two of you finally made it out to safety, Jake let out a big laugh as he pulled you into a tight embrace. “I knew you were scared! But don’t worry! You’ve got me!”
Uh huh. Sure. You rolled your eyes before hugging him back.
