Advisor: ... are there admin law memes?
Me: we might have to make our own admin law memes.

Im in law school and i generally love it but I am having a though time rn. I have to do my final paper and exams in administrative law which is really hard on me (then i start german bar prep). especially since all my friends pretty much dropped out and the 2 I have left are 2 semesters below me and one above. Plus I didnt get internships due to covid so I feel stuck as well. i also have online uni and its so lonely.
any kind words to get me through admin law? I like every other area of law, and already went through all fun and okay courses, I just need to get through this one :(
ADMIN LAW SUCKS
I hate admin law because they spend a whole course teaching you what boils down to about 5 minutes of your practice time in an admin law case. “Is this reversible and on what basis” is a whole ass course but meanwhile that submission is all of “it’s x your honour, now onto why we’re actually here”
My advice for admin law is grit your teeth and slog through it because you have to and being a lawyer on the other side of it all is better than giving up now because you are SO CLOSE
oct 13 | I spent my Sunday mostly in the uni library working on my Admin law essay, but I made time to explore the university in the city I’m visiting and wow it is so beautiful. It made me sad that I’ll be going home at the end of the week (which in turn made me more stressed because then my due dates for my assignments are getting closer).
What I take to uni...
Here is a small list which details what I take to uni to inspire me to get through the day. Usually I spend 8 hours+ at University, which can be LONG days, but I find that if I have the essentials with me, my day is immediately better and I am reminded of home
Water Bottle
it is so important that you stay hydrated during the day, especially if you constantly have class throughout the day
water is good to maintain great health and it also has positive affects on your skin too
Snacks
this should really be number one, am I right!! But in all seriousness, eating is not bad for you, if anything, food releases sugar to the brain that helps stimulate thoughts
where possible, take the healthier alternative!! ( I am super guilty on this one... I can’t resist the thai dates I have with my friends!!)
Laptop
my literal life saver! I don’t know what I would do without my laptop! My number one note taker
not only is it great to research whilst in class- I find lectures much easier to follow when I have my laptop with me
it also has a super cute case- which has been featured in many of my photos here
Notepad/Stationery
now this is mainly how I take notes during tutorials
nothing beats pen and paper at the end of the day- especially if you find it easier to remember things when writing it down
if discussion is super quick in class, my note page has so many arrows pointing to each new thought that comes up
Something from Home (leisure)
when going into university, take something from home, whether it be your favourite book, your favourite perfume or even a keyring...
having something there that reminds me of home really helps me get through those long days- I always take in the current book Im reading which at the moment is Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
also, side note - please give me some good books to read- send me a message
Textbooks
most of the time I always take a textbook into university, but I always try and limit it to one.
especially if your textbooks are thick, the last thing you want to go is have to lug around massive books on your back ALL day, if anything that will just ruin the mood
So here are my top six things that I always have with me at university. Let me know if you take any of these things to uni, or if you have something from home that reminds you to stay grounded amongst uni scholars.

Weekly spreads || Already week 5... 😮😶
I can’t believe I’m already five weeks into my third and final year of law school 🗓 📚 Loving my new weekly planning system.
I’m sorry I haven’t uploaded any original content in ages. I’m still here and definitely studying 🤓. I’ve been super busy with course content and summer clerkship/associateship interviews. Clerkship offers come out in October - keep your fingers crossed for me! 🤞🤞
Is there a way to download admin straight into my brain?
Thoughts while reviewing admin law: why do so many admin cases come out of New Brunswick?
Answer: the government of NB has been fucking up since Confederation
We’re talking about “generalized grievances” in Admin Law and I just can’t so I made this.
