In light of recent events, and because it was never posted on this tumblr proper (as we did not have it that time) we are reposting our statement made last year.

A quick 'serious' note. We are aware of the current legal situation that is transpiring between (1) person against members of the community. While we encourage this to be a community that anyone can participate in - we do have a specific rule in our discord: "We reserve the right to ensure & prioritize the safety and happiness of all server members over any singular member."
This rule extends to this page, and the community we cultivate here on bluesky. While we do not get involved in the common fandom 'drama' spats, because this is not the page to do so, this is not a drama page.
We allow anyone to participate in our activities be it trends, qotds, etc, and repost anyone who does so. If you dislike someone for some reason - that is what the block button is for, and we encourage you to utilize it thoroughly. You won't see them in our posts then! Same goes for discord.
That is, unless we believe someone is a credible danger or threat to the community and it's members.
And in this case, we believe this person IS a danger to the community we are building. And as such, it's as as our Discord rule states. The safety and happiness of all community members overrules any singular person, even if that person is not active here on bluesky or on tumblr. It does not matter the perceived popularity, or who they are.
Utilizing the legal system for SLAPP suits against members of the community is reason enough for us to condemn her actions - it goes beyond just internet shit talk. While we have doubts that there was ever going to be a desire to partake in our silly little account, we don’t want anyone to think we weren’t paying attention or utilizing Toxic Positivity! by ignoring the very real legal threats being utilized against members of the community.
That being said.
We wholeheartedly condemn Zwei (rockergf/therockergirlfriend)’s actions against the community’s members. And while it may seem performative to say as such, and it may very well be met with “who even are you?”: she is blocked from this account, subject to be banned from the Discord should she, in some bizarre twist, attempt to join. There is nobody twisting our arms on this: we do not want anyone who believes themselves to be The Main Character as part of our community, overshadowing others. And not only that, but to use the legal system to bully her way into silencing critics for her own poor behavior. This account was in fact created in part to counteract such people - we just never imagined there would ever be such a severe escalation.
If you support her actions, in any way: please note that we do not want you as part of NCSkyline either. We're not the fandom police or cops, but we do want to make it unequivocally clear that if you are friends with her, if you support her actions: you are not welcome here, you are considered just as unsafe as her, and therefor you have no place in this community alongside others. As we said earlier: we reserve the right, and it is frankly our responsibility to put the needs and safety of our entire community first over any individual willing to put that safety at risk.
Both myself,( @madm4chine ) and alecto ( @k1ll-v-maim ) are ‘newer’ in interacting with the Cyberpunk community specifically at large. While it is very easy to pick up on the various drama over the years between others - neither one of us had - and still do not - have any desire to engage with the fandom’s history of interpersonal disputes, specifically and especially on this page. We just love Cyberpunk, and want to have a space for everyone to show off their OC’s, and their love for the game and ttrpg as well.
It is frankly, a little bit terrifying to even put this statement out there, considering the legal threats being utilized by the person in question - but that makes it all the more important to say something. We are not close friends with anyone involved, (and are not even aware of who everyone being targeted is.) but that is irrelevant. Point blank: what is happening is wrong regardless of who it is aimed at.
It is also a little bit terrifying to put out because we are aware again, of the Cyberpunk fandom’s history and neither one of us wished to get on anyone’sbad side by seemingly favoring one person or this person or that person who did x this year and y that year. We can and will freely admit that. Do we think there have absolutely been prior incidents that frankly, have given a bitter taste to the community? Absolutely. But we are not the arbiters of justice of the community, and with most fandom drama we operate under the rules of “block block block, none of you are free from sin.”
This situation however, is not something to stay silent on, especially if we have put ourselves in the position of having this account and while I hesitate to call us ‘community leaders’ - we have willingly put ourselves in the position of maintaining a safe space.
No - we aren’t ‘big’ by any standards, haven’t hit 100 followers even. But that doesn’t matter, what matters is that we make our stance clear, now. When we are this ‘small’ - this is when we lay the foundations of what we want this community to be. And there is no room for this horrendous behavior - in, of all communities - the Cyberpunk community. If this somehow garners us flak, or backfires on us, so be it. That’s fine - we are not immune to critique ourselves. We are just trying to do our best to maintain a community that is both fun and safe.
