Hello! I really love statistics, so I made some about MCR Fanfiction on Ao3

We make up 0.3% of all of the Fanfiction on Ao3. That's 16,024 fics!

The majority of fics are tagged as Frank/Gerard. The least are Frank/Ray. The amount of Frank/Gerard is over 80x the amount of Frank/Ray! (Please note that some fics are tagged with multiple ships)

The fics per year is my favorite statistic. I want to say first that my calculations may be anywhere from 4 to 40 fics off in either direction, as I had to calculate it by hand. The amount of fics climbed in the 2010-2013 era, when I suppose people started to move from other fic sites. The growth after reflects what we know about the growth of the fandom. The peak is in 2016, with 2,219 fics being published. There is less being published now. I don't know what caused that, some theories are the fandom evolving or more people having problems with rpf. The number for 2020 is 545. That is for only 2 and a half months, however. That's 218 fics per month. If fics were to continue at that pace, we would have 2,616 fics this year total! That's more than in 2016. That can probably be credited to MCR's return and how much the fandom grew since Halloween 2019.

There are 3008 incomplete My Chem fics on Ao3. This stat is one of the less interesting ones, and I have nothing more to say about it.

2 of the top 3 fics are from the Unholyverse series. The Unholyverse almost has a fandom within a fandom, so I am not surprised. What I am suprised about is the difference in hits between the first and second fics in the series.

The longest MCR fic is 351,832 words long. For comparison, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is 198,227 words long! I would like to note here that I only included the books that I have read in this statistic, since some of the long ones had some inappropriate content. ((Mama) contains lots of mature content and triggers so if you intend to read it be cautious)

And that's the stats! I'm not sure if Ao3 does this already, but oh well. I plan to do some more about the Danger Days fandom and maybe going deeper into some of these, so stay tuned!

-Hi there! First of all, I wanted to thank those who started following me and im glad you like my ideas. Its awesome!  As for me. I’ve been fairly busy with online school and my time has been limited. I also have a new job that I start Saturday too. I don’t know how often  I will be on and off unless its wednesdays. 

TLDR: I’m stressed, tired, and don’t know when i’ll be updating much but i’ll do my best.
