Idk if this is the type of response you're looking for regarding the creature AU but Hyunjin & Seonghwa always give me merman/siren vibes if you're interested in that area.
Especially when they both have their long, black hair (like in Deja Vu & Playing with Fire), I can imagine them being covered in scales, water glistening off their skin.
Felix just gives me such fae energy, he sparkles wherever he goes. Wooyoung as well.
Lee Know gives me 'gumiho' fox energy, like Tale Of The Nine-Tailed vibes, Hongjoong does too.
Yunho & Seungmin both give off centaur vibes.
Bang Chan, San & Mingi would definitely be were!wolves (they both give me that Bella, where the hell have you been loca!! Vibes).
Yeosang & Jeongin definitely give me vampire energy, actually not even vampire energy, just rich kid circa Victorian period energy.
Han gives off leprechaun!trickster vibes.
Yeah, I hope that helps, hopefully I might see some pieces inspired by these ๐๐.

I absolutely love the idea of writing siren content (someone has some research to do, that person is me) for Hyunjin or Seonghwa! I agree with you they do fit ... Hyunjin has the beauty and glamour and Seonghwa has the calming, welcoming presence that could totally allure a sailor.
