[A MewTube video from Team Curiosity's official channel is attached. The title is "TCBFSC—Admin Thrash: Weather Ball Type Fluidity
Transcript:
Admin Thrash practically explodes into the stage, his Castform, Cirrus, hot on his heels. There are five targets set up on the stage, and two grunts on standby who seem to startle to attention as their boss snatches the microphone right off the podium and struts back to the middle of the stage, giving it a twirl before gripping it a little too tightly in his hand.
Thrash: Good afternoon to ya, Veilstone! The name's Thrash—Admin Thrash Sockum! Welcome to the best presentation you're gonna see here today!
They take two pokeballs off of their belt and toss them into the air with the flair of an experienced double battler, letting out a Torkoal and a Pelipper. The grunts on either side of the stage also send out pokemon—one Rhydon and one Snover. They all take their places near the targets, one standing beside each target. Thrash walks in front of the first target, which has no pokemon beside it, and holds out his arm for Cirrus to perch on.
Thrash: Now, before we get started, let me introduce you to Cirrus! She's a Castform—a pokemon developed by the Hoenn Weather Institute to adapt to different weather effects in order to help the scientists there more accurately study them. As you might have guessed though, the weather doesn't have to be natural! Now, not only does her type and form change with the weather, but so does the type of her signature move, weather ball! Check it out!
They let her off of their arm and point towards the first target. Knowing what to do, she charges up a weather ball and unleashes it directly into the center of the target. It hits with a thud, denting the target pretty significantly.
Thrash: Right now, we can't feel any weather effects. So, not only is she in her base form, but her weather ball is normal-typed! Nothing too special about it, see—just a nice meaty SMACK!
They slap the microphone, then use it to gesture towards the second target. Their Torkoal winces somewhat at the reverberating feedback.
Thrash: Now, let me show you the real meat of this move! Drought, use sunny day!
The Torkoal obliges. As an orange glow forms around it, the sun can be felt burning a little brighter through the windows, and a small ball of flame shoots out from the back of the pokemon's shell, providing a mini-sun. Cirrus floats over in front of the target and shifts to her sunny form.
Thrash: Alright, now let 'er rip, lass!
Cirrus chirps and fires off another weather ball. This one burns into the target, setting it alight from the inside. The Pelipper sitting beside the next target watches it burn for a moment, then puts it out with a small jet of water. Thrash laughs at the show, his hands shaking with excitement as he heel-turns back towards the audience.
Thrash: Now wasn't that something! She's in her Sunny form now, and that means both her and her move are fire type now! She'll stay that way so long as the weather is nice and hot and sunny!
As they talk, they move to the next target with Cirrus. The Pelipper then uses rainy day, knowing what to do without his trainer's input. The fireball is extinguished, and an isolated shower forms outside. A small rain cloud also forms above Cirrus, causing her to shake for a bit before transforming into her Rainy form.
Thrash: And, go!
Cirrus then unleashes the third weather ball. This one also slams into the target like the first, but it seems to cut into it slightly and soak the foam completely. Thrash's excitement grows as he turns back to the audience.
Thrash: Now that she's in her Rainy form, she's now using water moves like a champ-level mon! Any time you take her out into the rain, or if a pokemon like Flood here decides to make some, she'll stay like this until things get nice and dry again!
They then move on to the next target—this one has a Snover next to it. The tree-esque pokemon seems somewhat intimidated by the rapid tapping of Thrash's foot as they gesture to the grunt at the left side of the stage.
Thrash: Alright, kid, you know what to do!
Grunt 1: Y-Yes Admin! Uh, Evergreen! Use your ability!
The Snover snaps to attention, allowing his ability to activate. Snow warning. It causes a flurry to kick up on stage, and the rain outside can be seen sticking to the windows in icy crystals now. Cirrus shifts form to her Snowy form, and charges up a weather ball.
Thrash: Go!
On their word, she looses the ball into the target. The target dents in significantly, then begins to freeze, expanding and cracking from the melted snow inside of it. Thrash hardly seems bothered by the snow sticking to his bare chest and spiked-up hair.
Thrash: Cool, isn't it!? Ha! In her Snowy form, she's an ice type now, and that move is gonna give anyone it touches a chill to remember! She does this in snow or hail, but I figure no one here's wanting to get pelted with hail today, yeah?
She laughs, then gestures for Cirrus to follow her to the next target. The Rhydon seems thoroughly done with Thrash's shenanigans, looking over at her trainer as that loud Orrish accent booms out yet again.
Thrash: Alright, last round! Let's do this!
Grunt 2: On it! Crusher, use sandstorm!
The Rhydon rolls her eyes, then opens her mouth and lets out a torrent of sand. The sandstorm swirls around the stage, and the snow outside is ripped apart by particles of sand. Cirrus then transforms into a form unfamiliar to many—the Sandy form. Her body seems to become a tornado of sand, all surrounding a rocky core that contains her eyes and mouth.
Thrash: Alright, now out with a bang, let's go!
The Castform lets out a final weather ball. This one dents into the target and fills the dent with sand. It pours out onto the floor. Thrash is bleeding somewhat from being cut up by the sand, but he's laughing all the same.
Thrash: This one's a specialty ofine—the Sandy form! Cirrus's own special talent! She's a ground type now, and that weather ball is entirely made of sand! Hurts like the flames of Ho-oh when it gets in a cut! She does this every time a sandstorm gets kicked up! Justy, eat your heart out!
As he continues to laugh, an Altaria is sent in from offstage, and he quickly works to disperse the weather effects, returning Cirrus to her base form. She seems tired, but happy as she nestles into the spiky mess of Thrash's hair.
Thrash: I'd love to show you more, but I've only got a little bit of time up here today! You can all go home now! It doesn't get any better than this! Thank you for being here, and you're welcome for the show!
