New J/P-Community

Hi guys,

this is me veeery carefully asking whether anyone would be interested in joining a new community that could serve the function JohnHeartPaul used to have – that is, anything and everything abt John/Paul?

Ever since JHP sorta faded away, we haven’t had a proper community place for that sorta stuff – sharing headcanons, meta, facts, having an overall discussion about the relationship between John and Paul… sharing your art, sharing your fics, asking for help with writing/art/anything…. just, all that has been missing for the past five years or so, with most of the fandom now residing over here at tumblr dot com. we don’t have a community in the same sense as what JHP used to be. we’re all doing our separate blogging, and pray to some distant tumblr gods that our posts show up in the #mclennon tag. we don’t have long, interesting conversations about mclennon. we have lots of active, wonderful bloggers, but the sense of unity is missing that we used to have in the good old JHP days.

everything is just so…… separate now, and i’m yearning to have that sense of having a community back. anyone else?

A new community would also bring more exposure for content creators as well, since there would be email alerts on new posts!

So, hello, Chut here! This might really be a thing now as the thought has now evolved into full-on planning. I want to make this community ours, in a way that everyone has a chance to participate in its creation. I’ll be posting updates on how the project goes on on my tumblr.

To start off, I thought I’d ask you guys for name and feature suggestions. There will be a poll later and you guys can vote on the name! How does that sound? I will also gather a mod group to help me run the new community, since I have my hands full with… lotsa stuff, so if you’re interested in that, hit me up! You can do it with the form below, or message me on tumblr, or send an email to [email protected]. Whatever works for you!

Rebranding @Mclennonrecs

For the past year and a half, @mclennonrecs has been run in tight collaboration with the John/Paul-Library… in such that both are in fact operated by the same admins within one site. With Mclennonrecs having been intergrated into the Library in all but name, we feel that it is finally the time to make that final change.
