MEMBERS PROFILES - PART TWO
PI [aka Jung Sooyoung]
Second Vocalist / Dancer
the only one in the company to have a stage name (at least thus far)
his stage name comes from the math/science term - because his birthday is March 14th
super nerd (obviously - given stage name) and loves video games
loves puns and is known to post them (and poems made of them) to the group’s sns accounts - he also loves memes
in the maknae line technically - but is only a few weeks younger than Sunwoo, so they are both the same sort of age / friendship
the unofficial one in charge of their group vlogs
has a pet corgi (named Hotteok - yes, named after the food) who has a bit of a fan following as well and is jokingly referred to as the eighth member of the group
a bit of a foodie - has recorded a few mukbang vlives
Ravenclaw (individualistic, witty)
[ face: Jung Hae In ]
Kang Sungjin
Second Rapper (can also sing but is HIGHLY self-conscious so doesn’t much)
he’s from overseas - his parents still live there and thus doesn’t get to see them as often as any of the others
is also multi-lingual because of this
he and Kyungjoo have a bit of an age gap between them and their hyungs (Sungjin is nearly two years younger than PI, and Kyungjoo is about six months younger than Sungjin) - so they’re both treated as the maknae and doted on
is generally seen as soft fluff beb, but he can also do the strong stage presence at times
most athletic member (his main sport is soccer) ... one time at the company building he had been playing around with a soccer ball in one of the practice rooms and Hyunmin (from Titans) came in and after Sungjin repeatedly bowed and apologised and such, Hyunmin asked if he would like a practice partner ... and now he regularly plays soccer with Hyunmin (and is possibly going to play for an upcoming ISAC’s game as well)
Hufflepuff (loyal, caring)
[ face: Nam Da Reum ]
Baek Kyungjoo
Maknae / Second Dancer / Sub-Rapper
former child actor, still does some acting on the side as well
variety king - along with Sunwoo (and Sukwon from Titans)
is very smol and fluff - but also wacky and LOUD
is projected to likely qualify to become a member of MENSA after finishing school
does not follow the L&S trend of satan maknaes - he is a precious little floof
he does however get into Kinam’s prank wars (which mostly ends up with him doing something silly)
horror / haunted type mission games are hilarious with him - because he giggles the entire time (once he accidentally startled a member of the scare cast - to which he apologised profusely)
with the news of Jonghyun’s passing, I thought I should make a note here ... while I don’t consider myself a Shawol (shinee fan? yes of course - Shawol? not exactly) and the precious babe is not my bias (yes I purposely said “is” because it doesn’t change matters as far as bias goes) - it does hit hard and I am terribly saddened by the news ... I hope that his family, friends, fellow members, Shawols can find comfort where they can and not hurt too much (of course I know there’s no control over it)
but for anyone who needs to talk - our inbox is open, our messenger is available ... even if it says we haven’t been around lately - I have this blog logged in on my tablet app, and I have things switched over to this blog on my phone so I will always see your notifications ... please don’t think you need to hurt in silence on your own ... there is always someone out there who cares and loves you and wants to help
mental health issues and suicide and such are a very close subject to me, so please don’t feel scared or ashamed ... you are all so wonderful ... even if you are simply seeing this in random tags or such ... even if you don’t like the things we write / post ... even if you are simply one of the readers who might not say anything or react ... even if you are one of our biggest fans ... you are wonderful and loved ... so please, if you are hurting, talk to someone - whether it’s me or anyone else on tumblr (but please be careful darlings, there are always some bad people who simply want to cause everyone else to hurt) or someone you know personally in your life ... just take care of yourselves ...
even with everything that has happened ... I hope that you all have a good day / night! :) ... I love you all, you are wonderful
~ admin leader
ps - anyone who would prefer to talk with a fellow Jonghyun biased rather than another member (Onew is my personal bias - but I’m not one of the people who only care about their bias) - our admin maknae got into kpop because of Shinee and Jonghyun is her bias out of those boys (she even dyed her hair the same style as his “Ring Ding Dong” hairstyle)
so here it is ... yes you’re reading right, no this isn’t a joke ... I’ve finally finished up with the next installment of this story ... and depending on how things sort out in the next chapter - it might have only one more part until this long and rambling adventure comes to an end ... I am so terribly sorry that I have made all of you wonderful people wait so long for this (or any update) ... I hope that you will forgive me and still love and support this tiny blog as I try to get back into posting somewhat more frequently ... in other news - yes I’m going to change the artwork that I have with this story, while cross-posting this story on AFF we had an artist approach and ask if we would like them to make something for the story and so we have a new beautiful cover thanks to My_Type of AFF ( their graphics shop ) ... and as one of my regular customers at my current job (yes current - soon to be previous!) said to me on his birthday last week - it’s better to give things on your birthday rather than receive things on your birthday, especially when you get this old ... and so here it is, a present to you all
I hope you all enjoy this and I hope you’re all having a wonderful day / night! :)

Angst / Fluff
The sight of the scene in front of you would have been amusing if it hadn't been due to the situation. Sanghyuk was struggling to stand from the bed while one of the senior surgeon apprentices was trying to push him back into the bed, obviously trying to keep from hurting him. It was made all the more amusing by the size difference between the two, as Jinyoung was at least a head shorter than your knight. They were both arguing and talking over each other and it looked like Jinyoung was contemplating hitting Sanghyuk over the head.
Sanghyuk was the first to notice you and he tried again to stand, only to pushed back into the bed by both Jinyoung and Youngjae. “Princess! Let me-”
You shook your head and walked over towards the bed, giving the knight a frown. “Lie down, Sanghyuk. You need to rest. I thought-” You shook your head, not continuing the train of thought. “Now stop and listen to the surgeons. They know what they are doing and I refuse to allow you to die.”
“Princess, the assassin-” You couldn't stop the slight flinch at the mention of the assassin who had turned out to be your cousin. “The serving girl who brought the pie. I knew something was wrong. I've never seen her before. I know everyone in the kitchens. There must be a group of them in the castle. You have to let me-”
You shook your head with a frown, pointing at Sanghyuk. “The only thing that I am going to let you do is to stay in bed and heal from the poison. Sir Taekwoon has taken over the interrogation of the assassin that Sir Wonshik captured. So we will soon know who is behind this and then I will destroy them. This will all be put behind us.”
Sanghyuk shifted on the bed and moved to sit up, despite the glare from Jinyoung. “Princess, you are without protection. I must-”
“Sir Minhyuk has escorted me for now. I am fine. Do not worry and stay in bed. That is a command. Was there anything more information?” You didn't want to force the royal commands on him, but at the same time, you knew he was likely not to follow instructions so easily. “Please. I will not have you further injured on my account. Simply stay put and focus on your recovery.”
Sanghyuk looked as if he wanted to protest, but something on your face must have managed to get through to him that it was pointless to argue. “Princess. I would give my life to keep you safe. I swore to protect you. That is not going to ever change.” The seriousness in his voice and on his face was more than you had seen since he had taken his oath.
“I know.” You sighed softly, not wanting to have any more death and blood on your hands. “For now just stay put and listen to the surgeons. I won’t forgive you if you end up hurting yourself even more because you were being stubborn.”
Sanghyuk simply laughed before giving you a shrug. “I’m stronger than what they think. If I let them control it, I’ll be bedridden for weeks.” He scoffed slightly. “I’ll be back by your side within the week, Princess, don’t worry.” He ignored your frown, smiling slightly with a shrug before his face seemed to drop into the strangely serious expression. “Princess. About the assassin. He-” the words caught in his throat for a moment. “He is your cousin. He’s not the only one. I saw one of the lords slip into the feast late as well.”
The news caught you off-guard and you glanced over to where Jinyoung seemed to be sorting through a few bottles of herbs and such. With everything that had been going on, you weren’t sure who exactly you could trust, and you didn’t want to possibly alert any of the others in the plot against you. All you wanted was for this entire situation to be over with so you could try and get back to some semblance of normality in your life. Even if there were things that couldn’t be changed.
You turned back to Sanghyuk and put a finger to your lips, hoping that Jinyoung wouldn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. You gave a subtle shake of your head and luckily Sanghyuk seemed to understand. “I couldn’t tell who it was though. I’m sorry.” He gave a small nod and you made a mental note to check back in with him when there weren’t other ears around to possibly overhear. All of the constant suspicion was draining your energy and you were sure it would make you sick if things weren’t settled soon. But for now you had to be careful.
“Rest for now. Listen to the surgeons and get well so that you can return to your duties. I hope to see you back within the week. But for now, rest and let your body heal. I’ll be back again to check with you later.” You gave him a nod before turning back to the door.
Once out in the corridor again, you turned to Sir Minhyuk. “I’m going back to my chambers. Not the new ones. I don’t want to see Jaehwan for a while.” Sir Minhyuk simply nodded and you headed back to your chambers. You felt worn to the core and needed to be alone to try and sort things out.
Rather than letting yourself think too much on the matters, you laid down for a moment and let yourself try to relax. You pushed aside all thoughts of the rebellion and assassins and hidden brother, and let yourself calm back down. Without realizing it, you dozed off.
A few hours later, you woke up feeling a little more rested, but as soon as you moved to try and stand from the bed, you fell back down onto the mattress. All of the strength had been drained from you and just the thought of everything that you would have to deal with still made you want to lay back down and fall into unconsciousness again.
Of course you knew there was no way you could fully escape everything, as your life would never truly get back to normal. Too much had already happened to change things. So instead, you tried to stand again and straightened your shoulders in the same way you had seen your mother do a thousand times. You could get through this. Or rather, you would have to get through this.
Opening the door you were somewhat surprised to see Sir Taekwoon standing outside of the door rather than Sir Minhyuk. He bowed quickly before glancing up and down the corridor before motioning behind you to your chambers and you stepped back inside, letting him in before closing the door again.
“I finished interrogating the assassin. There wasn’t much that he would reveal, so I’ve kept him alive to try again later. But I have to warn you, princess-”
“It’s my cousin. I know.” He gave you a slightly confused look before you sighed, moving to sit on one of the couches. “I went to see who the assassin was that had decided to tear my family and kingdom apart.” You took a breath to try and calm down, as the memory of your cousin locked in the dungeons and all that he had said came crashing back down on you. “I also know that Hakyeon is my brother. Sunwoo was sure to tell me that as well. Even if Jaehwan and Hakyeon both knew already.”
“Princess, that’s not all. I couldn’t get it out of him yet, but there’s another. One of the lords I think? The way he spoke I think it is someone at least of some rank. He didn’t say much more. I stopped not long afterwards. He didn’t seem to be ready to cooperate, and I didn’t want to kill him just yet.”
You shook your head with a frown. “No, don’t kill him. I want to watch him walk in front of everyone as the traitor he is before he is hanged like a common criminal.” You couldn’t tell what exactly Sir Taekwoon’s opinion of your words were, but you knew there wouldn’t be any hope for calm until you had settled the assassination plots and the rebellion and everything that had happened the last few weeks.
He nodded with a slight bow. “But of course, Princess.” He glanced back to the door. “I heard that Sanghyuk saw someone at the feast. If you wanted me to escort you?”
You knew that Sir Taekwoon would be asking about the lord he had seen entering the feast late. While a part of you didn’t want to think about all the trouble and the possibility that this would simply end up as yet another close betrayal, you also knew that you had to know who was behind all of this. You wouldn’t be able to truly relax and try to put a little closure to this whole situation until you had a face and identity to aim all the anger to.
You nodded and he opened the door, letting you lead the way back to Sanghyuk’s chambers. When you reached the door you knocked quickly before stepping inside after Sir Taekwoon opened the door for you. Glancing around you gave a small sigh of relief at the sight of the otherwise empty room. You had been hoping to be able to speak with Sanghyuk without the surgeons hovering around. While you were glad they were keeping such a close eye on your knight, you wouldn’t be able to speak with him about the information that he had. Sir Taekwoon stood by the door, close enough to be able to hear what Sanghyuk was saying and yet still able to stop anyone who might try to come in. At the sight of you walking in the door, Sanghyuk had tried to stand, but one glare from you and he compromised by simply sitting up in the bed.
“I assume you want to know who I saw? Unless you’ve come to admire my handsome face.” Sanghyuk smirked, and you were glad that he seemed to be getting back to his normal, disrespectful self. While you trusted Sir Minhyuk and Sir Taekwoon to keep you safe, they were both quiet and overly respectful. You had quickly grown accustomed to Sanghyuk’s mannerisms and surprisingly missed them.
“As handsome as you may be, there are more pressing matters than that. When all of this is settled, I’ll have plenty of time to stare at your face.”
“I will hold you to that promise.” You laughed at the exaggerated wink he gave you, hearing Sir Taekwoon scoff from behind you. Sanghyuk’s face dropped back to a more serious expression and you held your breath for a moment. “It was your uncle.”
You had hoped that your cousin had been acting alone, but that was proving to be untrue. “So they are both behind this then. How long have they been plotting this?” You were growing more and more tired and suspicious of everything. By this point, who wasn’t after your kingdom? And it seemed to be seated the closest within your own family. That alone was enough to make you wish for time to rewind back to when you didn’t have to worry with any of these things. You took a deep breath before nodding. “I had hoped Sunwoo was alone, but now I know it’s at least the pair of them. It is going to be a fight, but I’m sure we can get them taken care of and I can get back to taking care of my kingdom the way that my father did. These assassins will not win.” You turned back to Sir Taekwoon and saw that his face had hardened just slightly. “You can capture my uncle and take him to the dungeons as well, can’t you? Take the knights that you will need. I want him captured and tortured as soon as possible.”
Sir Taekwoon nodded and you felt a small wave of gratefulness to the knight. He wasn’t even a knight of your kingdom and yet he had been working to fight back against the rebellion and assassins as diligently as any of your own knights. “I’ll stop and trade watch with Minhyuk so you can return to your chambers to prepare while I go and catch him.”
You weren’t exactly sure what he meant by the comment about preparing, but then Sanghyuk spoke up from the bed. “You forgot your own birthday didn’t you?” He chuckled softly before shaking his head. “And to think my mother has been working on your special meat pies all day for nothing.” You simply shook your head at his overdramatics. “The feast was moved to tonight. Your birthday might not be for a few days still but Cook insisted that the food would be better tonight. And we both know what happens when someone tries to cross her.”
You nodded with a small smile before turning back to Sir Taekwoon. “Let’s go. There’s no good to come from upsetting Cook. Just trust me on this. Being late to the feast would be a serious mistake, and I can’t let any of the nobles see a weakness. I’ll get one of the maids to help ensure that I will be able to destroy any whispers.”
“You are always beautiful, Princess. No need to fuss over things too much.” You turned back to Sanghyuk, expecting to see his standard cheeky smirk, but instead finding a genuine smile. “It’s the truth. Of course, I didn’t swear myself to you simply because of your pretty face either though. You are a wonderful ruler and truly care about your kingdom and its people. My mother said the same about your father and she agrees you share the same trait.”
You felt your cheeks heating slightly and you ducked your head with a small smile. “Thank you.” You turned back to Taekwoon with a nod. “Okay, let’s go. I’m not sure how long it will take the maid to fix everything however is best. And it’s always better to be prepared early rather than late when it comes to one of Cook’s meals.” You turned back to Sanghyuk with a small smile. “I’ll ask one of the servants to ask your mother to stop by, so that you can spend a little time with her again. But if you try and get out of bed before the surgeons say you are healed, I will personally knock you back into bed.” You smiled when he didn’t laugh at you and he seemed to take your threat seriously. “Let’s go.”

Angst / Fluff
The birthday celebrations didn’t feel the same this year, and you knew there were plenty of reasons why. You simply didn’t want to dwell on them. You didn’t want to think about how you had lost your father to the rebels who were trying to steal your kingdom. Or how two of your family members were a part of the rebellion. You didn’t want to try and sort out the idea that Hakyeon, your best friend and companion for so many years, was actually your brother. And most of all, you didn’t want to try and sort out everything that was going on with Jaehwan.
To keep up the best public appearances, you sat side by side at the main table of the feast. And yet, you felt like you had never been farther apart from anyone in your life. Most of the night you had tried to avoid even glancing in his direction. He had known everything all along about Hakyeon and had suspected about the rebellion, and yet he had never said anything to you about it. You weren’t even sure how you felt about him anymore. You had been trying to keep your heart detached from any feelings you might have for him, as it was all just a show. And yet, your heart didn’t seem to agree. You had slowly felt the stirrings of fondness and more for the prince you had married, and a part of you didn’t want to stop yourself any more. However, the betrayal of everything was too much of a wedge between you at the moment.
Even though the celebrations were supposed to be for you, you had never felt more alone. Normally during your birthday feasts you would be joking with Hakyeon while your father would be sitting on your other side chuckling at your antics and your mother’s exasperated reactions. This time you were sitting with Jaehwan on one side of you while the other seat remained empty out of the memory of your father. Your mother sat in her normal seat beside the empty chair as well, and you could tell she hadn’t been getting much rest. Her normally impeccable appearance seemed to have worn thin. The exhaustion and grief was still easily visible, and it made you wonder how badly it had changed you. With everything going on and all the stress, you had barely had a moment to yourself, and rarely in front of any mirrors.
You tried to keep up appearances by smiling and chatting with any of the other nobles and such who passed by the table to wish you a happy birthday, but you felt your energy starting to wane. Rather than being here in the center of attention, you would much rather be back in your chambers curled up with a book or trying to get a little more sleep. Of course, you had a role to play. You couldn’t let any of your subjects down. They would worry about you if you were absent from your own birthday feast or if they suspected that you weren’t enjoying yourself as much as you normally did. So instead of running to hide away in your chambers again, you simply sat there with the perfect imitation smile on your face while you played along that everything was fine.
“Princess?”
You blinked at the sound of someone’s voice, having gotten lost in your thoughts. Jaehwan’s face was right in front of you and you managed to swallow your squeak of surprise. Frowning slightly, you pulled back from him. “Yes, Jaehwan?”
You watched his face fall slightly at the coldness in your voice, but you refused to let yourself feel bad for it. He pulled back, shifting in his seat. “I had simply asked if you were enjoying yourself. I apologise.” He paused for a moment before shifting and turning to face out into the hall again.
You could tell that he was upset, although you reminded yourself that he had in part caused things to be the way they were. If he had be straightforward with you and not kept all the secrets from you, then you might have been able to handle everything a little easier. You might have been able to accept that the best friend you had known for years and had been by your side through everything was closer than that.
But then again, you knew there would really be no way that you could have prepared for any of this to happen. There is nothing that could have made it easier to get through everything that had been happening. You knew that. But it still upset you that the people you had trusted the most had been hiding things from you.
The feel of a hand reaching to take yours made you jump and startle before realizing that it was Jaehwan’s hand. You turned to him with a slight frown, ignoring the hurt in his eyes. Even if he was smiling and trying to keep up appearances, you could see the hurt in his eyes. It was strange to think that you had only known him for such a short period of time, and yet you could already tell his emotions just by his eyes. You didn’t want to acknowledge the fact that seeing the hurt in his eyes gave your own heart a small tug.
“Princess, the display is ready for you. Whenever you would like to watch.” One of the members of the special teams who worked with the celebrations came to stand in front of the table with a bow. “We hope the display with be an unforgettable one as a fitting honor for your birthday.”
You nodded and he walked back down to the entrance of the feast hall. While you normally couldn’t wait for the nighttime display every year, this year you didn’t feel quite up to it. You knew it wouldn’t be the same, even if they claimed it would be a great show. Forcing yourself to take another bite from one of the meat pies that Sanghyuk’s mother had prepared, you tried to push your spirits higher.
Unable to force yourself to keep up a smile for much longer, you stood and turned to Jaehwan. “Shall we go out?” At least in the nighttime darkness you wouldn’t have to worry as much about keeping up appearances. He nodded and stood, offering you his arm again, which you took without looking at him again.
The viewing area for the nighttime displays felt colder than it had in the past. While it had always been cold, simply from being outside and without any protection from the weather, this year it seemed even moreso. As everyone followed your lead and filtered out into the viewing area you tried to suppress a shiver, but before you knew it a cloak was draped around your shoulders. You turned to see that it had been Jaehwan’s, and you frowned up at him. “Don’t be stupid, now you will get sick instead.”
He shrugged, crossing his arms across his chest, his voice soft. “Better me than you, princess.”
You scoffed before you heard the sounds of the display preparing to start. You heard Sir Taekwoon shuffle slightly behind you and you turned to see the knight standing with a frown on his face. He grumbled softly. “I don’t like this. We’re out in the open in the dark.” He seemed to almost be fidgeting, and it started to make you a little nervous. You had never seen the knight like this.
Just then the night sky burst into color as the display started. Colors burst through the sky and you turned your head up, trying to let go and enjoy the display. The displays had always been your favorite part of the birthday celebrations, so it felt a shame to not at least try to enjoy it. You watched as the colors changed, bursting into life for a moment before the next appeared. It was just as beautiful as always, and you felt a smile slowly starting to spread across your face for the first time in a while.
The display seemed to have almost frozen time and you couldn’t stop staring up at the colors. Each burst more beautiful than the last. For the moment you let yourself forget about everything that had been happening. You let yourself be happy and carefree again.
You felt the attention from beside you and turned to see Jaehwan staring at you with a soft yet unreadable expression. “You’re supposed to watch the sky display. People will think you didn’t like it.”
“You are infinitely more beautiful than any cheap fireworks. So how could I ever look anywhere else but you?” His voice was soft and you almost couldn’t hear him over the sounds of the display still going on.
Shaking your head, you turned back to stare at the sky. “You must be blind as well as naive then. But your words won’t win much.” You curled your fingers into the fabric of the cloak, trying to pull it closer to stop the shivers from the cold.
The display continued on and you watched as it grew, heading towards the grand finale. Every year the finale seemed to be competing with the previous years to outdo each of the others, and you were excited to see what this year’s finale would bring.
Just as the display seemed to be reaching the peak, you noticed movement from your side and then Jaehwan was knocking into you, causing you to fall. There was a tiny moment of pause before sudden chaos broke out. Sir Taekwoon grabbed another man who had ran into Jaehwan and you watched as Jaehwan fell to the ground beside you.
You had started to stand and offered your hand to Jaehwan to help him up as well when you felt the wetness on his hand. Dropping down to the ground again beside him, your hands hovered over him. You weren’t sure what was going on, but your chest was tight and your eyes started to burn.
“Jaehwan?” You tried to keep your voice as steady as possible, but it cracked slightly on the end of his name. “What-”
He reached and took your hand in his and you tried to ignore the slick feeling between his fingers. “My princess. I’m sorry.”
That was when it truly hit you. Blood. You shook your head, tears starting to slide down your cheeks. “No. This isn’t really happening. Please.” You moved to pull him off the ground, placing your body around his, not even registering your dress getting ruined by both the ground and the blood. “No.”
Jaehwan smiled at you and squeezed your hand slightly. “It’s okay. Don’t cry.” He reached up, gently wiping your cheek. “Your smile is so much more beautiful. Don’t cry. Everything will be okay. You’re safe.”
Your chest felt even tighter, not sure how you could breathe. “Jaehwan, you-”
“Shh, it’s going to be okay. Don’t worry about me.” He smiled up at you again, and you saw a momentary flash of pain across his face and you choked back a sob. “I have always loved you, my princess. You know that, right?” His voice had grown softer and you tried not to panic even more. “Ever since you dropped the frog down the back of my jacket in the middle of the great hall. Seokjin laughed at me so much that night. He said that I stared at you like a man dying of thirst would stare at a glass of water.” You saw another twinge of pain pass across his face, and you weren’t sure if it was from his wound or the memory. “I was the one who asked your father for the engagement. I had hoped to gain your love. Or at least a small bit of fondness. Instead-”
“You haven’t granted me my favor!” You interrupted him, your heart aching in your chest. “You haven’t granted me my favor from the tournament. My knight beat yours. You owe me a favor!” Your voice shook as you felt yourself panicking.
Jaehwan smiled at you again with a slight nod. “I do. And I will give you whatever you want, my princess.”
You felt more tears rolling down your cheeks again and you had to clear your throat before your voice would work. “Kiss me and don’t leave me. Please.” You tried to take a deep breath to calm down even the slightest, but a sob broke free again and you pulled Jaehwan closer to you. “I tried to stop myself from it, but I do love you. I wanted to protect myself. This was an arranged marriage, I didn’t think-” Your voice broke and you shook your head. “Just kiss me and don’t leave me, Jaehwan. That is the only favor I want. Please.”
He smiled at you again, his eyes watering. “That’s two requests, my princess.” He cupped your cheek with one hand and leaned in, pressing his lips against yours softly. You reached to cling your arms around him, not wanting to let go.
Then Jaehwan’s hand slid from your face and you felt him grown slack in your arms. Pulling back slightly you saw his eyes closed and aside from your hand that had curled in his hair, his head would have lolled back. “No.” You shook your head, your chest tight. “No. Jaehwan. Wake up. Jaehwan!”
Sir Wonshik dropped to his knees on the other side of Jaehwan and you heard the knight’s gasp. “Prince!” His hands reached out to try and pull him from you and you panicked and clung tighter. “Princess, we need to get you both inside.” He dropped his voice and leaned closer so you could hear him over the chaos that you had been ignoring. “The rebellion is attacking. I need to get you to safety. It was-” His voice broke off before he shook his head. “Come on, I’ll carry him inside, just stay as close to me as you can.
You had never felt the need to sneak around the castle where you lived, even as a child when you were playing tricks, so the feeling was new, but you kept to the shadows and hurrying through the corridors until you reached Sanghyuk’s room. Hurrying inside behind Sir Wonshik, you turned to find the other knight standing with his sword in hand, his eyes wide.
Sanghyuk and Sir Wonshik quickly moved to lay Jaehwan on the bed before Sir Wonshik turned back to Sanghyuk. “The rebellion is here. Stay with her. I’ll be back when it’s safe again.”
When Sir Wonshik moved back towards the door, the light from the lamps in the room hit Jaehwan and you gasped. There was blood covering his chest and stomach, and his face had turned a frighteningly pale shade. This was because he was protecting you. Because he loved you.
You only managed to take a few steps towards him, a soft whisper of his name on your lips, before you collapsed into darkness as well.
so I meant to make a post for this one before work today (technically yesterday - yay for being a second shift vampire! heh) ... but I’m not going to let this one get away without making a post about it
“비처럼 가지마요 (One More Chance)“ ~ Super Junior
so I hadn’t been expecting a full mv from these guys until next week (I might have missed a timeline thing with them, idk) - so needless to say when I woke up this morning and saw this sitting in my notifications I squealed ... there was not enough coffee in my body to handle this and I’m still not really over it ... and that does not bode well for next week’s official comeback ... even though my actual suju bias is away serving his enlistment - I am known to be a bit of a bias hoe with these guys, so there were others out to attack ...
for some individual thoughts about each of the members (in order they pop up in the mv - b/c it’s totally not an excuse to rewatch yet again I don’t know what you’re talking about hehe):
I FREAKING LOVE DONGHAE’S HAIR!!! ... like I can’t shout enough about how much I love it
Leeteuk looks so SOFT!!!
YESUNG!!! ... just ... SO ... MUCH ...
Siwon looks so spiffy! like some serious chaebol vibes
I want to hug Shindong, like all of the hugs
I just want to play with Heechul’s hair and mess around with him just to tease him because I think it would be funny (idk)
EUNHYUK!!! ... I can’t ...
(can you guess who has been leading the race for bias wreckers with this group for me? :P)
but all together - this mv and song are so gorgeous and I cannot wait for the full album ... of course with the amount of flails death that this one has already tossed at me who’s to say I’ll even survive next week’s overload attack of comebacks (seriously - there are SO MANY FREAKING COMEBACKS)
but with all that rambling - I hope you’ll enjoy and such ... you’re always welcome to come and chat about what you think or such ... I hope you’re all having a wonderful day / night! :)

ps - HAPPY HALLOWEEN DARLINGS!!! :) ... it’s my favorite day of the year so who knows maybe there will be a post to come?
Everyone should go and watch this video. These boys have done it again. I am so in love with this song and the video is gorgeous as well. I will probably not be over this for a while, to say the least. Please go watch and support these hardworking talented wonderful boys. And if anyone wants to chatter about it or anything else - the askbox is open.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful day / night! :)
I am dropping by to post a small bit of an update for all the wonderful people who follow this small blog and might be reading this. I am terribly sorry that things have continued to hold off on hiatus like they have been for the blog. I had hoped to be back to writing and posting and such sooner than it seems to be taking me to get back to things. I know it might seem to be just complaining or whining or excuses or such but there’s been a lot of stuff going on for me that have kept me from being able to be around and updating as much as I would like. I won’t promise that I’ll be back any time soon or such - because I honestly don’t know if I would be able to keep such a promise. You are always welcome to drop a message if you want to ask about any of the things I have in progress or if you simply want to just chat - I always keep an eye on the messages / notes / etc, even if I can’t post any new stories or such. But I just wanted to drop a note thanking every single person that comes across our blog and reads our stories / sends us requests and messages / etc. You are all so wonderful and deserve all the happiness in the world. I have several things that have been in the works / unfinished for a while that I hope to be able to get posted for you. Hopefully things can get back to a sort of normalcy again soon. But until then - thank you so much, I love you all, and I hope you have an amazing day / night! :)
okay so this is a little short thing I started the other day at work for our maknae’s birthday (it’s today! I actually managed to get this posted for her on the actual day!) ... so yeah if it’s a bit meh or such - I’m sorry ... but regardless - a very happy birthday to our maknae! :)

Fluff
You glared at your brother as he continued to bounce around you, flaunting his height by holding your cell phone out of your reach. “Junhong, give me back my phone!” You yelled at him again as the text tone went off again. If he didn't give the phone back soon, you were going to resort to a method you had learned when you were children to get whatever you wanted.
The text tone went off again and Junhong let out another laugh before holding the phone higher again. Before he could move to defend himself, you jumped and started tickling him. Right when he dropped his arms to try and protect his most ticklish spots, you grabbed your phone and ran off.
You didn't make it farther than the door before a pair of arms wrapped around your waist. You tried to pull away, frowning to yourself. “Junhong, stop, I have to get ready for my date!”
“Aw, I'm disappointed in you, babe. I would have thought you could recognize me by now.”
Jumping at the sound of your boyfriend's voice, you turned to see him laughing at you, his face scrunched up in amusement. “How-”
“Why do you think Junhong took your phone for so long?”
“Because he's an overgrown terror of a child?”
“And what does that make me?” Sanghyuk smirked before pulling you closer to him. He leaned in, almost as if to kiss you but pulled back just before you lips met.
You frowned and hit him on the arm before trying to pull back from his hold. “A horrible boyfriend, that's what. Now let me go, I need to go get ready if we're going anywhere.”
He laughed before dropping his arms from your waist. “Yeah, I can't take my girlfriend out looking like that.” You glared at him as he leaned in to press a kiss to your cheek. “You know I love you. Go get ready, I'll play another round of the video game with Junhong.”
You hurried to your room, mentally thanking the fact that you had already spent some time this morning picking out your outfit. Sanghyuk had said not to dress too fancy, and after seeing what he was wearing himself, you knew it was the right pick. You quickly changed before rushing to do your makeup before deciding to just leave your hair down for now as it looked nice and it wouldn't be too dressed up.
Walking back to the den where the video game systems were set up, you laughed to yourself as you heard them chattering to each other and the game as they played. At least they got along. Knowing that it was best to let them finish the round, you walked over and sat in a chair near the couch they were both sitting on. You had made the mistake of accidentally interrupting them once while they were playing and they had both given you the silent treatment for hours. So you simply pulled out your phone and absently scrolled through a few sites on your phone and sending one of your friends a message teasing her again about something her boyfriend had done in class the other day.
“Look at that gorgeous girl over there! I wonder if she's got a boyfriend.” You could hear the laughter in Sanghyuk's voice as he joked around. “Junhong be my wingman, she might have a friend.”
“Nah, she seems too far out of your league. She's at least a seven or eight. It's better to stay where you are more familiar.”
You glanced up to see the teasing smile on your brother's face as well before standing and tucking your phone back into your purse, deciding to play along with their game. You turned to the door, purposely walking past them both. “I guess I'll have to go out on my birthday alone. Nobody else is free.”
You heard Junhong's soft laugh before Sanghyuk reached to hold your arm. “If you don't have any plans, I'm free. I even know the perfect place to celebrate your birthday.”
After pretending to think it over you shrugged, giving him an almost bored look. “Okay, I guess you'll do. But if I don't like where things are going, I'm walking away. Deal?”
Sanghyuk winked before leaning in to whisper in your ear, dropping the act. “Oh I promise you'll like what I have planned for you.”
“Could you two please not do all that in front of me? The whole sibling thing makes it awkward.” Junhong gave you both an over-exaggerated look of disgust before turning back to the game, loading his solo game. “Have fun you two. And happy birthday. Now go be disgusting somewhere else.”
Sanghyuk laughed before taking your hand and turning towards the door. “Bye Junhongie! Have fun with your game!”
You laughed at the normal grumbles from your brother as you walked out. “You shouldn't taunt him so much. He's taller than you now, you know.”
Sanghyuk laughed with a shrug. “And I'm older. So that makes us even.” He playfully stuck his tongue out before opening the passenger door of his car for you. “Now come on, it's your birthday so I'm stealing you and running off to get into all sorts of scandalous trouble.”
You smirked when he got into the car himself. “Careful, you wouldn't want to promise something you can't follow through on.”
He laughed loudly before leaning over to press a kiss to your lips before pulling back slightly with a smile. “I love you.” He sat back in his seat and started the car before turning to give you another smirk. “First we get food, then comes the real fun.”
