We at JAS are coming up on our third anniversary (and our fourth Jyn Appreciation Week!), and to celebrate we have decided to open up rolling member applications! If you would like to become a member of the blog and create content for the heroine we all love, read on!
Members help make original content: gifs, edits, fics, meta, fanart, fanmixes, etc! We welcome all the ways you can show your love for this awesome character. Members will be on a rotating schedule so at most you’d be asked to create something once every month and a half or so, although more is always welcome!
To be considered for membership, please submit the following information:
Your username
The type of content you’d create
A link to your previous fanwork
How active you think you’d be
As a bonus, feel free to tell us how much you love Jyn.
New members will be announced on a rolling basis. We will also continue reblogging all positive Jyn Erso content from non-members. If you don’t want to join as an official member but have content for us to check out, we track #jynappreciationsquad, along with #jynersoedit and #rogueoneedit
Please note that content featuring Jyn’s relationships (platonic, familial, romantic, etc.) is welcome, though Jyn should still be the primary focus of the content.

Hey all! It is getting time to think about Podfic Big Bang again. And think your mods have done. I have some bad news and some good news. Bad news first, despite how flush with excitement and ideas we were during/after last year’s Podfic Big Bang round (not that we implemented most of them, and had some stumbles with those we did), Real Life has come down on both of your mods hard. We want to be transparent with you, to let you know why things are different this year. This Big Bang means a lot to both of us and we want everyone to have a good experience. We wouldn’t be able to fulfill that if we tried to follow the regular template. Neither of us felt good about letting Podfic Big Bang lie fallow for a year either. So Instead we are going to try something new. Welcome to Podfic Big Bang 2019: Chill Edition! Details are below.
How this is going to work
All posting is going to be on AO3 this year. If you need an invite let us know and we’ll get you one. The Podfic Big Bang 2019 AO3 collection will open on June 1. The collection will stay open until midnight on October 31. To participate/complete Podfic Big Bang simply post a podfic to that collection sometime within that time. The collection will be an open, unrevealed collection. So no waiting, just post your podfic whenever you are done; it won’t be revealed until the last day. Standard Podfic Big Bang rules apply (minimum length, no part posted anywhere on the internet before, etc: see
HERE
for the complete regular rules). There will be no official sign ups this year, come and go as you please. Post as many podfics as you want to the collection or drop out midway with no one the wiser. However, we didn’t want to leave you without a space to talk about your projects, ask for help from your fellow podficcers, brag about your progress, or find artists. So we will make several check in posts throughout the challenge run time. Unlike last year, these check ins are entirely optional. You don’t even need to tell anyone you are intending to post anything! These check in posts will be largely unmodderated (due to RL commitments).
Art and Artists!
Every year we have amazing artists that come help us out on this challenge and we didn’t want to leave you out this year. While there isn’t going to be official art matching, we will make an Art post at the beginning of the challenge where artists and podficcers who want art can find each other.
Betas and Cheerleaders!
If you want to beta or cheerlead, please check out the check in posts. If you are a podficcer in want of a Beta or Cheerleader, post that to the most recent check in post. That’s about all we have for now. An Opening Check In Post and the Art Post will go up on June 1st. Thank you all so much for your patience. We have all these great ideas for Podfic Big Bang and are both passionate about long podfic. We hope to have regular (and maybe even improved) Podfic Big Bang and Epic Podfic Big Bang back next year. (Unless everyone likes this better! Then we’ll take a good look at this and see what we can tweak to make even better and roll with that.)

Five days for you to bring your all-time favorite recs of fics, vids, graphics, anything and everything fandom has produced in all the Whedon fandoms! All time periods before 2016 are eligible for posting and, as always, crossover content is A-OK, so get those lists ready!
The Wishlist
For those of you who have been around a while, you may remember the Top 5 Wishlist. Unfortunately as content has slowed in recent years, wishlist content is more difficult to find for our annual sessions, so this was discontinued.
However, with all time periods and Whedon fandoms open during the Classic Recs session, it should be easier to fulfill someone else's wishes!
Comment below with a line or two about what sorts of recs you’ve been hoping to see posted. If you see requests here that you could make a post about, start putting a Classic Recs list together! The more people who post, the more likely everyone will find what they’re looking for.
