No, it is not. Nattie made the personal decision to leave as she has actually just started her career as an author, and wants to focus more on her professional writing at this time. I'm still here, so BYS is will remain open!
is that circus au event still happening?
Nattie and I are still planning on it happening at some point, but we’d like to wait until after this event is over for something so intricate. We might decide on a different AU to do before, one where we don’t have to worry about plot drops. But either way, we’ll do it at some point!

is it just me or are more starters being posted than answered
Seeing as half of the four unanswered starters have come from my (Admin Roni’s) characters as that was what I had time to post between shows, we’re currently not worried about unanswered starters. This is a difficult event to navigate which characters are where, and most of our players with more than one character under their belt are on hiatus this weekend. After Sunday, if starters are still unanswered, then we’ll decide where to go forth from there.

As an addition, if any player feels as if there is an issue with unanswered starters for their characters, or the character is being ignored because of it, please don’t hesitate to contact us off-anon! BYS being a safe environment is important to us, and we might interpret things differently from members; if you feel as if there's an issue, members, please contact us!

It won’t be Saturday night because I, Admin Roni, still have another show to perform. I have been so busy today because of a show tonight that we haven’t been able to discuss the next acceptance date. I can assure you, seeing as we have three applications, we will decide soon and announcement will be posted on the main. Until then, please be patient!
tbh I'd be more interested in joining if you just did your jobs as admin if you just accepted apps regularly like within 24 hours instead of all this guesswork of when. It seems like you spend more time deliberating over WHEN to accept apps than you do actually accepting applications. Why do you do it this way when it's such a flawed system and so much easier to just make the decision when the app comes thru in the first place?
The problem with accepting apps within 24 hours is that we as admins have a life to participate in outside the roleplay. For example, the 24 hour system you are suggesting would not have worked for today because I (Admin Roni) am in the middle of tech week for a show, and therefore, would either be busy or too exhausted to properly review the applications at the 24 hour mark. We have tried to hold acceptances within a 48 hour period of receiving an application (and this is discussed in our rules), but most of the time, we are unable to be online at the same time at the 48 hour mark. We surely don’t like keeping applicants waiting, but neither Admin Nattie or I are going to sacrifice schoolwork or what prior commitment we have in order to hold acceptances at a time you are suggesting. The system we have now, however flawed in your eyes, works best for us. Also, applications can be withdrawn if desired if the wait is becoming too long for an applicant. But we appreciate those who are willing to wait and thank applicants so much for being patient. We do try our best as admins here at BYS, even when we cannot satisfy everyone.
ADDITION FROM ADMIN NATTIE:
Please do not demand that we "do our jobs as admins." The way we do things is different than you. Our way of accepting applications has worked. We spent maybe two minutes of our day deciding when an application date is. If you don't like it, don't join. Which I don't think is going to be a problem. But don't send in disrespectful, hostile anons that command us to change, either.
