So I'm going to start by publicly wishing myself a Happy Birthday 😀! It's been a wild day/week and God is def laughing. Thanks to all friends and fam who have reached out to show love. I always feel loved, blessed and thankful to have popped out into the world when I did (shouts to the summer babies). Last year, at this time, I put out my first and only musical project to date: 30before30. Today is the anniversary of that project and I figure the best time to put out my first visual for one of the 30 tracks from it. The title of the song/track/idea is "BLACKMAN" and its produced by @knxwledge . I finished editing this back in late February and wanted to drop it as part of BHM. This song idea/concept is in honor of all the positive black, male role models I grew up with both fictional and nonfinancial. This is for my pops, my brothers, my black male friends. This is for the Blerds/Black nerds lol. This is for Mr. Rashawn who conceptualized and drew unique, individual super heroes for every kid at my afterschool program (Emmanuel House). I had to become comfortable with the fact that not all or most of my music/art will be for everyone and that is OK. If any of this resonates, feel free to let me know. If not, that's fine too. Just know this is an integral part of me that I love and will continue to invest in and share more of because it's what brings me the most joy outside the day-to-day/9-5 grind. Hope ya'll enjoy.
