IS IT EVIDENT, just how much art's words hurt him? expression goes blank, a solemn nod in return. of course art's life was better without him. patrick is positive tashi's is, too. of course neither of them yearn for his presence back in their lives. neither of them long to be eighteen again, sharing a beer in a hotel room in flushing. it was just him, constantly seeking them out. it was just him watching them from afar as their lives continued on while he remained stagnant. it was just him, alone for years.
