Craziest Meet & Greet
Last Sunday marks the day that YouTubers Adam Saleh and Sheikh Akbar came to London to meet their loving fans. I think its right to say that the TeamASA went a bit mad at the sight of the boys (as fangirls do). Also they were the reason for the crazy traffic in and around Marble Arch that ruined most people Sunday.
I haven't been to many meet and greets before, heck this was probably my second one ever. But I have to say it was absolutely nuts, fun but nuts!
Hundreds of TrueStoryASA fans ran around Hyde Park and Marble Arch like a bunch of maniacs. They blocked traffic in ways no peace protest has ever before, causing passers by to think that there was a riot taking place. If I'm honest it was a great experience, I've never really seen anything like it before. I didn't realise how crazy London was for TeamASA, I'm sure the boys felt much loved, I would've felt much suffocated. Is it any wonder that Adam climbed a gate to get away from the clingy girls or Sheikh had to be man handled by self proclaimed "bodyguard". It felt like a One Direction concert haha.
Even though I didn't get my much desired 'selfie' with the guys, (the London Police had to shut the party down early as usual). I did enjoy being around all those people and the buzz was insane. Girls are CRAY CRAY!
I had this one guy ask me what all the fuss was about. I think the excitement got to a lot of people, more than they expected it to. But girls will be girls, right?
The aftermath of the meet and greet caused a huge hate-fest amongst the Muslim Community on Social Media, personally I feel the meet and greet went a little out of hand to say the least. So their concern is justified but the things they said aren't. Never call a women "degrading" and "shameful" and then expect them to listen to the advice you're giving. Its like slapping a child then giving them a sweet, it doesn't work! Try and educate the girls rather than bash them on Twitter and Instagram, you'll get them to understand you better.
And by the way, there was a hell of a lot of guys there and the people standing on the pillars of Marble Arch were guys. Yes they put their lives in danger to be a Adam Saleh 'fanboy' lol. Its just beyond me to be honest.
