Adoption request for these two! Word count- 449. Name for the little one- Is it good if I think on the little guy's name? I got a couple of ideas but it's 1a.m haha.
Jay was absolutely floored when he saw the two dragons. And yes, it was officially becoming a problem. One snepenguin? Easy to handle! A water dragon? Could be adapted to! Two more dragons of which could fly? Oh- no no no no no! That would be hell to unleash over Gotham’s city. And it had enough to deal with as is!
So did Jay turn around, walk away and pretend he never saw the little dears? Oh, absolutely no. It would've been the sane option. The smart thing to do. And Jay was a kid- teen?- whose mother? Was literally a psychopathic villain.
He slowly approached, watching as Bambi curled around the smaller one. The smaller one who was quite enjoying teething? Biting.. on Bambi's tail.
Jay smiled slowly, reaching into his pockets for a few snacks. Yes, he'd started carrying around spare pretzels and other things. Cat treats, dog treats, bird treats- you name it, Jay probably had it stuffed in his pockets for one reason or another. He just couldn't help himself. He loved animals! And his older brother Damian, whom he swore he'd never be seen around without pretzels after that one time he lost the guy a whole bag worth of it.
“Heeey, little guy! Ahm-.. you want a snack? I bet it's better than their tail, hm?” Jay chuckled, slowly holding out the snack towards the dragon.
It- didn't seem too interested at first, just holding onto Bambi's tail like a lifeline. Bambi watched, also uninterested, if a bit wary of Jay's arrival.
Jay hummed slightly, then slowly lowered the snack to the ground, putting it in front of Bambi instead. He knew better than to push. “Alright, I'll just let you choose! And if you don't like it, I've got more! I even have some candied salmon that Charlie gave me from Canada!” He explained, pulling out a small, unopened bag of the stuff. Bit pricey but oh so good! He shifted to crack the bag open, and as soon as he got it open, the smell wafted through the air-.
And the little guy moved, suddenly unlatching from Bambi's tail to lunge for the bag. Jay yelped, ducking just as the dragon practically tackled the bag, pushing their head in to get at the salmon.
Bambi just stared at Jay, their expression seeming to say, ‘Now look what you've created’.
Jay sheepishly chuckled, giving Bambi an apologetic look back. “Yeah yeah, that ah- that one's on me, ain't it? My bad..”
It really was a sight. He was going to need to ask Charlie for more candied salmon- because heck if he was going to try and wrangle his old bag back.
Adopted!!
Let me know what name Jay picks for the little guy so I can tag him. I also recommend checking Bambi for bruises from time to time, hatchlings tend to be a bit too rough in their play fights
