THE ORPHANAGE CHALLENGE (I’m back bitches)
Yes; I’m back. After months of playing on the sims 4 and pondering my sometimes shite life, I haven’t had much time to play the sims 3, let alone blog about it.
I’ve decided to do another challenge; called the Orphanage challenge. There are a few other challenges similar around, but this is HOLLY’S orphanage challenge. As lets face it, I didn’t like the other versions.
The Aim: The aim is to adopt lots of the homeless neighbourhood kids and give them a good home. The goal is not only to adopt lots, but also to bring up successful children. Orphans are more likely to be vulnerable in society so it’s your job to make sure they are happy, do well in school and have lots of friends.
The Objectives: For Babies, the objective is to get them to a best friendship with both their parents. For Toddlers its the same, but also for them to walk, talk, use the potty AND have a “buddy”. This is usually a sibling, who they can have a friendship with. Children have to get an A in school, reach level 5 in two skills (or level 10 in one) and have at least two friends outside the household. Teens have to get an A in school, reach level 10 of the same skills they reached up to 5 in childhood, or up to 5 in two new skills. Teens must have at least two friends, learn how to drive, be singed up to an afterschool club and get a part time job. After all- teenagers are the most vulnerable, they need to be kept busy!
There is no points system for this challenge. If you miss out any of the things above for a child, they do not count to the overall number at the end. It’s called a challenge for a reason guys, I’m fed up of seeing these wimp challenges, like “adopt 2 kids, 2 toddlers and 2 babies” for an orphanage challenge. Get a grip! That’s not a challenge, that’s everyday life!
You need to play on normal lifespan. If you play on longer then it gives you a chance to adopt more children and that’s not fair.
This is a one generation challenge. However your sims can adopt when elderly. As you are doing good deeds and shit, the government awards you 30,000 to get your orphanage up and running. Your starting fees are included in this. To get your network to 30,000 do kaching until you get there
You can have one parent, two parents, gay parents, it doesn’t matter. If you have two parents then one of the parents can work full time, while the other can do house jobs, like on the 100 baby challenge.
Basically you have to have lots of successful kids.
