Sounds like you need a hug, Sawa. *HUG*
THANK YOU. I know it can sound stupid but getting messages like this actually helps.
1. First fandom. 2. Favourite ice cream flavour. 3. Favourite gemstone.
Hard to say. I've been a fan of lots of things, but the closest I've come to interacting with other fans pre-TMNT was attending Farscape panels at cons. I did join a Labyrinth mailing list on Yahoo Groups when I was in third year university (so.... 1999?). For a while it was cool -- we'd have really need conversations about symbolism in the movie and parallels with folklore of the Sidhe, and cosplay tips and the like. But it degenerated into "Laby moments" -- really contrived things that happened that made people feel like they were in the movie. I'd get, like, seven messages a day that were pretty much "OMG YOU GUYS, today, I walked into a grocery store and bought and ATE A PEACH! I totally had a Laby moment!" So I quit the list.
Ginger frozen yoghurt.
Opal.
1. Bikini or one-piece? 2. Would you ever have plastic surgery? 3. Item from your childhood that you still have and refuse to get rid of.
1. One-piece.2. Don't think so.3. I have a plush husky that my mum gave me when was younger still kicking about~
1. Most hated celebrity. 2. Worst book you ever read to the end. 3. Favourite pair of shoes.
1. Ooooh. Probably Chris Brown. Not just for how he beat Rhianna, but for how so many girls were flocking after him like “I’d let Chris Brown beat me any day.” No. Just…no.
2. Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier. It has a good premise. At least I remember it having a good premise. I just remember getting so bored while reading it but I had to because it was for class. It made Best Seller. It’s just not for me.
3. I have a pair of sneaker sandals that I absolutely adore. They are so comfy (as long as you don’t walk 4 miles in them - I’ve done this). And really easy to put on. Hahaha. You know you are lazy when you don’t want to take a few seconds to properly tie and untie your shoelaces for your sneakers.
Hahaha :D Thanks for the questions Dora :)
My favorite part of the new chapter of Dashing and Demure:
(warning: spoilers)
If you are still doing the meme thing: adoradork :)
WAAAAH! I love her to DEATH.
Inspirational, wildly talented and dedicated to what she puts her mind to; sharply intelligent and extremely quick witted. She is awesome, fun and hilarious. I admire her writing so much, it's nearly painful.
Impossible though it may seem, she has helped create an incredibly memorable TMNT AU that has me falling hopelessly in love with Leonardo in a whole new way and has absolutely possessed all of my free time with daydreaming of Leonardo in silk pants, knee-high boots and a riding crop held loosely in his fist . . . aheh, erm, I mean!! I adore Dashing and Demure! I can't stop thinking about it! I've even picked up Pride and Prejudice and may have spent a few long evenings reading up on the Napoleonic Wars and Regency-era religion, fashion and politics, lol!! jbader's art and rosiewriter's wonderful contributions cannot go unmentioned! What a team!
But yes, not only that, she has single-handedly gotten me back into actively writing original fiction and has happily pitched me overboard into the rocky, rejection-shark-filled sea of submitting again! I had so much fear and walls built up around me that she just destroyed with a flick of her wrist XD - her support and her confidence in me is worth more than anything! For that and so much more, I'm very grateful to have met her and count her as a friend!
