Hi ive just been diagnosed with adhd, but haven't been given much info on what adhd symptoms i have. Is excessive daydreaming part of adhd? Like I would daydream a story when I'm bored and sometimes I get so into it that when I focus back from it, so much time has passed. And I've been doing this for years that it eventually became 1 full story that I would go back to and continue it when I'm bored. I realized that most people don't do this.
That can be a part of ADHD, yeah! It’s especially common in people with ADHD-PI (primarily inattentive, formerly known as ADD) as their hyperactivity is internal, and expresses itself as daydreaming and wandering thoughts. And we have time blindness (which means we don’t naturally sense time passing and have no idea how long we’ve spent doing something).

i had one months ago! but now that i’ve put more thought into my ocs, i’ve changed their stories a bit! some have stayed the same! (i might ramble a bit but i just wanna make sure i dont leave out any info qvq) warning: valor’s backstory kinda gets dark so;;;
MAVERY (princess of mercury)
mavery comes from a religious filipino family, she was always forced to meet or get with boys even though she never took interest in them. as the years went by up to high school, she fell in love with pearl calayag (valor’s girlfriend). unfortunately, she was too scared to tell pearl and confront her feelings after she found out her friend, valor was dating her. so, she stayed back and decided to keep her distance and let them be happy. mavery now hangs out with sun and cass.
SUN (ruler of the universe and saturn)
sun grew up in a supportive family and they loved them no matter what. sun has had trouble trying to fit in when they grew up due to their identity, they were almost friendless--not until mavery and cass stumbled into their life. sun is the child of queen tethys (one of the surviving queens in the council) which means that they’re really special to their empire. sun is expected to be the protector of the universe but they feel like they aren’t exactly ready yet. tethys is getting sun ready to take back their kingdom together.

CASS (prince of pluto)
cassian grew up with his mother--his father left him when he was only five. due to the struggles of trying to maintain money and a home for his mother, cassian is always stressed out. but that doesn’t mean he’ll quit--by the time, cass turned 15--his mother became ill with a virus that she had to be sent to the hospital for treatment. cassian grew even more stressed because of this but he still devotes his work and money to make sure his mother is cured. three years have passed, there is still no cure for his mother yet.
VALOR (prince of jupiter)
valor used to have actual parents. he lost his mother and father in an accident when he was just a baby, a neighbor of theirs was taking care of him before they called his relatives to take him in. valor lived with his grandma for a while til he was 6--she died of old age which lead to valor being taken by foster care. valor grows up with the cyneheards (valor adopts the name). now, his foster parents aren’t bad but they aren’t good either. as valor spent his time with them, he’s had trouble opening up to them and knows that they aren’t his real parents every time they try to help him. he has a really strained relationship with them.
(okay i know its just backstories bUT PEARL IS VERY IMPORTANT TO VALOR SO!!)
there was a time in valor’s life where he felt hopeless--it was when he was 15. he got into a bad argument with his foster parents one night and he thought it’d be best if he wasn’t such a burden to them anymore. his parents thought that a family dinner with their neighbors, the calayags would make valor open up a bit more. when dinner started, valor didn’t head to the table--instead he went to the bathroom and attempted to drown himself--pearl was sent to call up valor. she’s the one who saw him in the tub trying to drown. she quickly pulled him out and tried to talk to him--eventually valor and pearl just...talked things out. pearl literally is only person (besides mavery) who makes him happy. she’s the one that saved his life and she’s honestly his motivator.
