Sunday’s weather was just beautiful! With Spring just around the corner, we went on a spontaneous afternoon trip to Auburn Botanic Gardens.
We worked our way through the crowds of photographers and models to find the real stars of this season – the cherry blossoms!
What you can’t see here…are all the crowds!
Just some casual strangers in the background
Absolutely love the pink against the soft clear blue sky
The below shot is my personal favourite from the day…but I just couldn’t pick a filter!

The gardens are fairly extensive so there were other pretty flowers to see too! I’m not sure what these were, but they looked amazing!
My dad was avidly taking iPhone photos of everything. What a cutie!
Some more flowers around the dainty Oriental water gardens:
It’s times like these that I am reminded of what a beautiful world we live in! People from suburbs away flock to the gardens to enjoy the beauty of the blossoms, before the season passes and the blooms wilt and fall. It’s a harsh reminder that external beauty fades. I hope that I will continue to be able to remember to nurture and grow inner beauty.
Here are the full sizes of my favourite shots. Which one do you prefer? Let me know!
