Loki gifted me these beautiful tomatillos and green tomatoes last week. I knew that I was going to make this dish, but I didn't know I'd desperately need to then. 3 days ago I soaked my pintos and made my hock stock. Blistered my berries and tomatoes on the open fire. Used the lard rendered from the browned Berkshire shoulder to fry the veg in brought it all together with master stock, hock broth, Serrano and jalapeños and let it simmer all day. Finish with lime, Cilantro, and avocado. Say grace. Breathe deeply. Cry because you conjured home and Granny. Destroy with blistered pepper jack quesadillas, crema, and grassy fresh jalapeño rings.
