Went to see the ADP Riot Tour in Totnes and Chris Soundart gave me a Sharpie and bade me to draw on the container! So I drew a little bit of the incredible, miniature-modelled madness going on inside. (Bonus points for the caravans in the countryside in there) Do go and catch the container if ya can, it’ll mess with your head!

Aftermath Dislocation Principle
Today I went to visit the Aftermath Dislocation Principle (ADP), which is currently on tour in the UK. I visited it on location in Merthyr Tydfil, where it stands in Penderyn Square on the site of a historic riot location.
The Aftermath Dislocation Principle is a hypothetical post riot landscape, created with scale model miniatures by artist Jimmy Cauty. The ADP has been confined within a 40ft shipping container, with 123 viewing holes drilled into the container for viewing. The ADP Riot Tour will visit over 35 sites of historic riots in the UK this year.

In Merthyr, the ADP draws attention to three riots that took place in Merthyr Tydfil during the years of 1800, 1816 and 1831.
The exhibit (well, container) itself is well worth visiting. The detail included is phenomenal and despite looking through every eye piece (excluding about 5 that were too high for me to reach...), I’m sure I have still missed a great deal. However, there were many little nuances that I loved, including this little policeman at a window.

The ADP is staying in Merthyr until Monday 31st May, before it moves on to Coventry to continue the tour. If you can visit it at any of the locations, I’d recommend it.
