The staff is literally terrible. Like, what the fuck is this update? How is this a solution to anything? And another thing, why did they announce it a DAY before the update? If they're trying to warn people, they're doing a terrible job. How the hell do they expect people to cope with it when they literally change it immediately after telling people?
I have no idea and like, they do this after the update that stops you editing posts, so if you’re having a long conversation or rper or whatever, it’s far harder to cut the posts, which made life a lot easier?? I mean that’s proof enough that tumblr doesn’t care.
Maybe they listened to people saying “uh some warning about your updates might be nice??” with all their previous updates, and then somehow failed to realise that we want more warning than a day. But it’s more likely they heard us say that and went “Okay if we do it one day before, they don’t have a right to complain and we can act like we listened!!” Because they’re not expecting people to cope they just hate disabled people, we’re probably being “lazy” and “whiny” for struggling to cope with the change. I feel like they make up updates on the spot and then go “ooh, I can’t wait to see how this fucks up tumblr!!”
