4/1/13 - 4th day!
Playing with food. (More specifically fruits, even more specifically strawberries)
A bit late, sorry about that. Could not bring my camera out last night.... But hey! At least I got to play with food.
Over the bridge. No adding of frames used :) Just shot through a window.
Overhead bridge.
Jump!
A perfect time to pickup a book and read.
What I learned today in my photography.
So, I recently have been getting interested in photography. But being a beginner, there are always things I am learning. Like today.
I don't shoot in raw that often, but today when I looked at the photos that i took in low light, it was not great. I did take 2-3 raw photos, and after editing, it looked much better (It was also easier to edit) . After that, then I realized that how important RAW is when sometimes you can't get it right in-camera quickly.
Lesson 1: RAW is MUCH easier to edit when it just happens, I need to try and shoot with RAW more.
I was not really prepared for today's photos . I just brought my camera around like I do everyday. When I realized that my uncle wanted me to take photos and then show him later, I found out that I only had ~130 shots left. That kind of scared me, and made me more fell not to shoot more. After I came home, and saw the less then average photos I took, it dawned upon me. I am using a digital camera, not a film camera. I can still shoot more and delete the ones I don't like in-camera!
Lesson 2: Don't let the photo counter scare you. Just shoot!
I have an 8GB card, which I usually fill up in about 2 weeks or so. Like I said before, not only did the photo counter scare me, but it made me feel regretful that I did not bring a spare memory card. I usually keep a spare (empty) memory card around in my old point and shoot camera case, but I have not yet bought a new one for my mirror-less camera. A case is important, not only does it protect the camera, and allows space for extra memory cards, But it also makes non-pancake lenses that is attached to the camera fit nicely in the case
There was really not much excuse for me not to bring an extra memory cards as they are pretty cheap.
Lesson 3: Get a case, and put a spare memory card inside.
Well, these are the things I learnt today.... I thought I would share with you, so you won't make the same mistake.
Peeking out.
