Marinette was beyond nervous. Who could blame her? Adrien Agreste, the boy she had been pining over for the past few years had finally noticed her. Or well...he at least accepted her offer to go on a date. She didn’t know if that was because he did notice her and reciprocate her feelings now or not. There was the strong possibility that he just assumed it was a casual thing. Which honestly she hoped he didn’t.
Regardless, she was excited, nervous and ready to die all at the same time. Alya - her best friend had spent hours leading up to the date - helping her best friend to not only pick out an outfit but try to remember to breathe.
Not an easy task of course because with every single thought, Marinette was freaking out over him actually saying yes. But she was trying her best to maintain some semblance of sanity.
The time for the date was drawing nearer though and as it got closer, the more nervous she became. It wasn’t as if she had never spent time with Adrien alone before. But with this being called what she intended for it to be that had somehow made it drastically different.
She stood, dressed in a light pink dress, stockings, heeled boots on though they were fairly short heel wise While the boots came up to mid calf. The shoes were white to match the accents of white trimming along her dress. Her hair was down with some of it pulled back and tied with a ribbon of white. The make up she opted for was light and over her shoulder was her bag as always. Her nerves becoming worse the second there came a knock at the front door. Grabbing her large, pink coat, she pulled it on and zipped it up. A white scarf added to the pink and earmuffs to match. Taking a deep breath - Alya having left an hour before - Marinette made her way down from her room and to the living room of her home to grab her keys.
Normally a dress would have been a disastrous idea but the plans she had for them would have them inside and semi warm. More often they’d spend their night indoors rather than out so she knew she could risk it and not worry about the crazy cold weather.
Taking a deep breath once she got downstairs, into the bakery, she felt her cheeks heat up at the sight of the blonde standing within the bakery awaiting her. Her parents of course had become a little more tame over the years - mainly her father - or so she assumed anyway. “H-hi A-dri-en~” she swooned unintentionally.
“Y-you look hot-I mean great! I uh...A-are you re-ady to go?” she asked quickly changing the subject from her compliment as she hugged her parents and kissed them both good bye for the evening. “Promise I won’t be home late,” she reassured them even though her parents trusted her enough to know that she wouldn’t.
