God I can’t remember if I’ve talked about this on this blog or not ??? but siblings are kind of a complex issue for Percy especially. Demigods are the offspring of a mortal and a god — in his case Poseidon who broke a pact to do so. Also like, his home life growing up really wasn’t a good environment for another kid ( plus I think Gabe generally hated any child’s existence ) which Percy would never wish on anyone. Makes things a bit tricky on the siblings front on both sides.
Would he love a sibling? Simply put, yes. And canonically there is one on the way ( some sources say the baby will be around next book ??? guess we’ll see ). His mother now remarried to his second stepfather is pregnant with a mortal little sister for our demigod here. I think that partially Percy is terrified even if excited because he does pose a threat to her. On the other hand there’s the possibility of a sibling on his fathers side ( more on this in a minute ) but I think Percy is still hung up on the idea of, even if mythology states it, Poseidon sleeping with anyone else feels weird to him. That is a whole other ballgame and we will not get into it here.
Some siblings on his fathers side: Tyson ( whom Percy loves and is a cyclopes. all cyclopes are his siblings in a way ) horses ( lmao ) and Triton ( who Percy has kinda met ). This is where stuff gets weird because in PJO canon gods don’t have DNA as we think of it. So like a demigod dating another demigod isn’t problematic hell they could date their siblings and technically it isn’t incestuous but no thank you. On the other hand they get their powers / looks / etc from their godly parents “DNA” so what is real.
If anything I think Percy has this deep down want for a full sibling he would never voice ever to anyone but he also doesn’t want any sibling to deal with the consequences of their parentage. Being a demigod is dangerous and children of the Big Three don’t live long and are often fated to die horribly. So rules out some options there no matter how much he does not like having a cabin all to himself while he watches the other demigods do things with their siblings. A mortal sibling, though, might mean he hides who he is just to save them depending on if they end up with clear sight which is possible genetically points at Sally. It’s complicated.
