In process of doing a run cycle animation for a dog. This is diagram put together for myself to assist in carrying out the animation.

I drew two circles on both left and right on the dog to help to identify the position of the legs while in motion. When the Dog is in a running stance both circles are close together with its feet not touching the ground. When the circles are separated further part the legs are pulled further apart like a spring expanding causing the legs to separate.

A video i found that talked about the breakdown of a horse’s walk cycle. since a donkey and a horse were in the same species, i felt that this could be relevent in helping understand how to animate a donkey’s walk cycle
